A dual polar experience combining the capability of the refitted Terra Nova Adventurer (98 guests) with the extreme sailing exploration of yacht Icebird (6 guests) to reach Antarctica's most remote bays.
Terra Nova Adventurer
The Terra Nova Adventurer is a legendary Danish-built expedition ship with over 600 polar voyages under her belt. Following an extensive 2026 refurbishment, she merges proven polar capability with modern, open, and welcoming guest spaces. While designed to accommodate up to 138 travellers, voyages are deliberately capped at an average of 98 guests, offering significantly more space per passenger than almost any comparable vessel and streamlining shore operations. Onboard Life & Wellness: Public spaces feature panoramic observation lounges, a library, restaurant, bar, and a wellness area with a spa, sauna, gym, and two outdoor Jacuzzis. All 63 cabins are oceanview with private en-suite bathrooms, highlighted by 11 dedicated single cabins with no solo supplement—a rarity in polar travel. Science & Exploration: Built as a true platform for discovery, she features a full science lab with a resident expert science team. Supported by a vast mudroom and 14 Zodiacs, guests enjoy included activities like Zodiac cruising, shore landings, kayaking, camping, and snowshoeing led by expert naturalists.
Icebird
The Icebird is a 61-foot custom expedition yacht designed by Van de Stadt and built at the renowned Trintella Shipyard in the Netherlands. Purpose-built for extreme polar sailing, she features an ice-reinforced aluminium hull with six watertight compartments and an all-ocean classification. Her agile size allows her to navigate shallow bays, channels, and anchorages across the Arctic and Antarctica that remain unreachable for larger expedition ships. Life Onboard: Accommodating just 6 guests on multi-day voyages (up to 8 on day sailings), she provides an intimate, hands-on expedition style. The interior is fully insulated and climate-controlled, featuring a hot water radiator system and a double-glazed pilothouse saloon offering 360-degree panoramic views while remaining protected from the elements. Action Platform: Engineered as a true adventure vehicle, her aft garage stores a rigid aluminium-hulled inflatable boat, kayaks, skis, and diving gear—enabling active pursuits such as ski-touring, mountaineering, snorkeling, diving, and kayaking in remote wilderness areas.
