The Goxsheim is a unique piece of Norwegian maritime history. Originally built in 1940 as a fishing and freight vessel in Hardanger, this sturdy wooden galeas has been transformed into a pioneer for Arctic expeditions. Its traditional design offers a homelike atmosphere, akin to a cozy cabin at sea, where wooden craftsmanship and classic details take center stage.

Life on Board: /The heart of the vessel is its spacious saloon with a wood-burning stove, ensuring a warm and social environment after a day of exploration. The galley is equipped to provide fresh bread and comforting meals. The ship features a central water-borne heating system that ensures thermal comfort in the coldest regions, along with beds fitted with high-quality down duvets.

Design and Refurbishment:
With its galeas rigging and solid 110-ton structure, the Goxsheim is designed to withstand the conditions of the Arctic and Northern Norway. It has recently been upgraded with a new deckhouse lounge to offer better panoramic visibility and more space, while maintaining its authentic Norwegian "Pirates of the Caribbean" feel. It is the ideal platform for small groups seeking a genuine connection with nature and seafaring tradition.
