Day 1 • Wednesday • Arrival in Anchorage
Arrive into Anchorage today. Check in to your hotel in the heart of downtown's exciting business and visitors district, offering an unsurpassed location for your Alaskan adventure.
* Upon arrival to Anchorage, please call your hotel for a shuttle in. If you prefer a private transfer booked, please let us know.

Day 2 • Thursday • Anchorage
From downtown Anchorage enjoy the scenic drive north to the Matanuska Glacier -- a frozen 27 mile long river of ancient ice. Thousands of years old, this massive glacier is tucked up into the head of the Matanuska Valley. You will spend 2+ hours directly on the glacier with a glacier guide by your side, learning how the Matanuska Glacier was born and how it shaped the landscape in the Matanuska Susitna Valley. This tour is fully guided. You will be provided with helmets, a walking stick and spikes that attach to your shoes.

Day 3 • Friday • Anchorage
Today’s guided tour takes you along the Seward Highway's Turnagain Arm to the aerial tram on Mt. Alyeska. At the top you will enjoy stunning panoramas (weather permitting) of the Alaska wilderness.
The next highlight is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. This rescue center is home to bears, a musk ox herd, a wood bison herd that was once thought to be extinct, moose, elk, caribou, and more! Lunch is included at a local eatery in Girdwood, where you can experience some local culture.
Return to Anchorage in time for a nice dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4 • Saturday • Anchorage – Fairbanks
Most of today will be spent onboard the Aurora Winter Train. The Aurora Train travels weekends between Anchorage and Fairbanks, making the northbound 12-hour journey on Saturday and the return trip on Sunday. Along the way, the train stops in Wasilla, Talkeetna, and provides flag stop service along the 50-mile stretch of roadless backcountry south of Hurricane Gulch. Further north, the train stops as needed at Healy and Nenana before arriving to Fairbanks.

Day 5 • Sunday • Fairbanks
Your guided van tour to the Arctic Circle will take up to 14 hours.
Enjoy a day full of information and knowledge about Alaska.
Travel from Fairbanks to the Arctic Circle on the famous James Dalton Highway, featured in the TV series “Ice Road Truckers”. En-route, enjoy stunning views of interior Alaska, the Trans-Alaska-Pipeline and the mighty Yukon River. You may see moose, lynx, and fox in their natural habitat.

Day 6 • Monday • Fairbanks
Sleep in this morning and spend the afternoon visiting downtown Fairbanks.
This evening you travel from Fairbanks to Murphy Dome – one of the best northern lights viewing areas near Fairbanks above tree line.
Viewing the Aurora Borealis above tree line presents you with a wide horizon and an incredible view of the Alaska night sky. Hot beverages are complimentary.

Day 7 • Tuesday • Chena Hot Springs
Chena Hot Springs Resort is the most developed year-round hot springs in Alaska. The scenic 60 mile drive from downtown Fairbanks takes a little over an hour. It is common to see wildlife, especially moose, along the way. Shuttle transfer between Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs is included in your package. Spend the rest of your day soaking in the hot springs or book an optional tour. Check the activity center upon arrival for availability.

Day 8 • Wednesday • Chena Hot Springs
Another day to delight in the natural hot springs lake, Northern Lights, renewable energy projects, Aurora Ice Museum, dog kennel and winter activities.

Day 9 • Thursday • Fairbanks
Return to Fairbanks today and spend one last evening “in town”.
Hotel: Pike’s Waterfront Lodge

Day 10 • Friday • Departure from Fairbanks
Your tour comes to an end. Return home from Fairbanks.
