This popular alpine activity is easy to learn. No experience is necessary – all you need is a willingness to try. All training is provided and our team of guides will have you trained and ready to go in no more than half an hour.
Participants should be confident in their footing and have an average level of fitness – outings may be up to three hours in duration. Those who enjoy hiking trails or taking long walks at home will possess enough fitness to enjoy this activity. As with any other activity, you will get more enjoyment out of it with some preparation in advance, such as long walks with uphill sections or bike riding.
In Antarctica, the longest hike can be 2-3 hours long, while in the Arctic it can be a full day tour.

Day 2: Flight north to Churchill beneath the auroral oval

Private charter flight to Churchill. On arrival, we’ll take a tour of this historic fur-trading settlement, founded in the 18th century. As night falls, we’ll head out to open ground for our first viewing of the spectacular shimmering veils of the Northern Lights.
Days 3–5: Private Northern Lights viewing and Arctic adventures in Churchill
Night-time experiences and subarctic exploration
Over three nights, we’ll explore the Northern Lights from our private selection of heated viewing spots, such as the 360° Aurora Pod®, the Boreal Lounge, domes and the cabin in the boreal forest. Trip price includes: Accommodations, services of Nat Hab's professional Expedition Leader(s) and assistants, excursions to our exclusive Aurora Pod and Aurora domes, dog sledding excursion, all meals from dinner on Day 1 through breakfast on final day, some gratuities, airport transfers on Day 1 and final day, cold-weather gear including a parka, fleece neck buff, fleece jacket, waterproof pants, mittens and Arctic boots for use during your trip, all activities and entrance fees, all taxes, permits and service fees.
EXCLUSIONS
Travel to and from the start and end point of your trip, alcoholic beverages, some gratuities, passport and visa fees (if any), optional activities, items of a personal nature (phone calls, laundry, etc.), airline baggage fees, airport and departure taxes (if any), optional travel protection and medical evacuation insurance.
Internal air: Round-trip private charter flights from Winnipeg to Churchill (this will be listed separately on our invoicing).
