Day 1: Gateway to the Arctic

Arrive independently in Alta, located 380 km north of the Arctic Circle. Check into a centrally located hotel, perfect for visiting the Northern Lights Cathedral and soaking in the Arctic atmosphere before the voyage begins.

Day 2: Expedition Launch
Embarkation and Sailing
Explore Alta on your own during the morning. In the afternoon, meet your guides and board the small expedition ship. Settle into your cabin as the vessel departs to begin your journey through the magnificent northern wilderness.

Days 3-6: Heart of the Fjords
Flexible Expedition
These days are dedicated to searching for whales and the Northern Lights. The itinerary remains flexible to track orcas and humpbacks feeding on herring shoals. Enjoy enchanting twilight periods, explore by Zodiac, and take hikes through dramatic, snow-covered scenery in areas like Loppa or Stjern�ya.

Day 7: Farewell to the North
