Push the boundaries of navigation and set sail for 90° North on an exceptional polar exploration in search of the mythical Geographic North Pole. During this odyssey, you will journey up through the silent, desert landscapes of the constantly changing ice floe. Your adventure continues as you travel down along the coast of Greenland, amidst the ice of the Transpolar Drift. Between majestic fjords and encounters with the Inuit culture, the region of Ittoqqortoormiit is rich in rare treasures. In this region near the auroral circle, you may be lucky enough to observe the Northern Lights, an additional Arctic marvel.

This unique voyage is in collaboration with The Explorers Club, and features a pioneering explorer and a Science Grantee who will offer firsthand insights into ongoing research. The journey is aboard Le Commandant Charcot, a ship uniquely able to reach the North Pole, an achievement accessible to very few people. As you progress through this polar landscape, you'll witness Europe's largest ice cap on Nordaustlandet and immense glaciers in Greenland. This is an unparalleled opportunity to follow in the wake of legendary explorers and reach the "Holy Grail of all polar explorers."

Day 1: Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen
Embarkation in the northernmost capital
Embarkation in Longyearbyen from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The ship departs at 6:00 PM. Enjoy strolling around this former mining town and its breathtaking landscapes of glaciers and mountains.

Days 2-3: Exploring Spitsbergen
Glaciers, fjords, and wildlife
Set sail for Spitsbergen's southwest and northwest regions. Admire majestic fjords and glaciers, and look for belugas, seals, Arctic foxes, Svalbard reindeer, and polar bears. The cliffs are breeding grounds for thousands of seabirds.

Days 4-7: Navigating through the sea ice
Sailing to the heart of the ice floe
Enjoy the unique experience of sailing to the heart of the ice floe. Your ship will navigate along naturally open channels, offering you a chance to see a particular kind of fauna that depends entirely on the ice floe.

Day 8: Geographic North Pole
Reaching the mythical 90° North
Arrive at the Geographic North Pole, a permanent site of ice, remote from any land. This mythical site has fascinated generations of explorers, and you will be part of the few to have ever reached it.

Days 9-11: Navigating through the sea ice
Journey back from the Pole
Begin your journey back from the Pole, sailing through the ice floe. Enjoy the constantly changing landscapes and channels of open water, which are a great opportunity to see the unique fauna dependent on the ice.

Day 12: Sailing ice floes along Greenland
Exploring one of the oldest ice layers
Sail to the heart of Greenland's icy wilderness, which has one of the oldest and thickest layers of ice on the planet. Travel along one of the world's most isolated coasts, between drifting ice and blue icebergs.

Day 13: Exploration of Ittoqqortoormiit Region
Experiencing Inuit culture
Immerse yourself in the isolated Ittoqqortoormiit region on Greenland's East coast. Discover the village customs of the last hunters of the polar region and their ancestral way of life. This is also a good opportunity to observe the Northern Lights.

Day 14: Exploring the Blosseville Coast
Following the footsteps of a French explorer
Aboard your ship, follow in the footsteps of Jules Poret de Blosseville. Explore this isolated and uninhabited part of eastern Greenland, where the ice sheet meets the sea. This is a great place to observe Arctic wildlife, especially polar bears.

Day 15: At Sea aboard Le Commandant Charcot
A final day of scientific discovery
Spend a final day at sea aboard Le Commandant Charcot, fitted with oceanographic and scientific equipment. Take advantage of the on-board lectures and opportunities for discussion with specialists to learn more about the poles.
Day 16: Reykjavík
Disembarkation
Arrive in Reykjavík early in the morning and disembark at 8:00 AM. You can visit Perlan, the Hallgrímskirkja church, and the Blue Lagoon.
