This expedition through Svalbard in spring offers an exceptional opportunity to witness the awakening of the Norwegian High Arctic. With 24 hours of daylight, the landscapes of snow-capped mountains and expansive sea ice sheets create a unique polar splendor. It is the time when birds return, filling the silence with their calls, meltwater begins to flow, and wildlife resumes its cycle after winter in a rebirth on an Arctic scale.
Aboard a polar-class vessel, you will explore spectacular fjords and navigate the edge of the sea ice, a vital platform for iconic fauna. Bridge officers and the expedition team will seek the best opportunities to spot polar bears, walruses, and Arctic foxes. Activities include hiking on pristine snow and the possibility of walking on the sea ice itself, allowing for a deep connection with one of the planet's most pristine ecosystems.
Highlights:
Snow-covered landscapes under the Midnight Sun.
