This 12-day expedition through South Greenland offers a deep immersion into remote landscapes rarely visited by independent travelers. Passengers will have the chance to contemplate the Greenland Ice Sheet, the second largest ice mass on the planet, alongside navigating through colossal icebergs and majestic glaciers. For history enthusiasts, the region is an unparalleled setting to explore Viking ruins dating back to 985, where Norse heritage and Inuit culture intertwine at UNESCO World Heritage sites.

The itinerary stands out for its diversity, from the vibrant capital Nuuk to the dramatic Tasermiut fjords, known as "Arctic Patagonia" for its rugged peaks and raw beauty. Through Zodiac excursions and guided hikes, explorers will discover colorful communities, glacial waterfalls, and surprising flora including Arctic orchids. This journey combines wilderness adventure with an educational voyage into glaciology, ecology, and the legends of Erik the Red in one of the world's most spectacular corners.

Day 1: Arrive in Reykjavik, Iceland
Welcome to the land of fire and ice
Arrival in the Icelandic capital and transfer to the group hotel near Keflavik airport. You will have the rest of the day to explore the city, known for its unique architecture and Norse history.

Day 2: Fly to Nuuk, Greenland and Embark
Beginning of the Arctic expedition
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a private charter flight to Nuuk. After a brief exploration of Greenland's capital, we will embark on the vessel in the afternoon to begin the voyage into the Arctic wilderness.

Day 3: At Sea
Learning and observation on the west coast
Sailing day heading south to learn about history, glaciology, and ecology with polar experts. From the deck, you can observe seabirds, whales, and ice carried by the Baffin Bay currents.

Day 4: Ikersuaq (Bredefjord) Region: Bays, Coves, and Islands
First contact with glaciers
Exploration of a fjord system surrounded by mountains. We will visit Qalerallit Sermia, where three glacial faces descend from the Greenland Ice Sheet, offering a landscape of thundering calving and crystal waters.

Day 5: Kujataa: Exploring Norse History
In the footsteps of Erik the Red
Visit Narsaq and Qassiarsuk to discover the ruins of original Viking settlements. In Brattahlíð, Erik the Red's former estate, we will see reconstructions of Norse buildings in a surprisingly green and fertile landscape.

Day 6: Tasermiut Fjord: The Arctic Patagonia
Rugged peaks and glacial valleys
Sailing through one of Greenland's most beautiful fjords, characterized by mountains rising vertically from the sea. We will take hikes over uneven terrain to admire local flora and milky blue river deltas.

Day 7: Prins Christian Sund and Aappilattoq
Navigation between vertical walls
Transit through a narrow channel flanked by mountains up to 1,700 meters high. We will visit the small fishing village of Aappilattoq, where colorful houses contrast with icebergs floating in the harbor.

Day 8: Uunartoq: Vibrant Plant Life and Hot Springs
Color and relaxation in the Arctic
Exploration of valleys covered in moss and wildflowers, including orchids. We will look for humpback and minke whales in the adjacent waters and, conditions permitting, visit natural hot springs.

Day 9: Hvalsey: Iconic Norse Ruins
Historical pilgrimage
Visit the 14th-century Hvalsey church, Greenland's best-preserved Norse ruin. An evocative site to reflect on the fate of civilizations in an untamed natural environment.

Day 10: Northbound to Nuuk
Final sightings and relaxation
Sailing back toward the capital. You can enjoy final expert presentations or relax in the ship's spa while observing the Greenlandic coast one last time.

Day 11: Disembarkation and Fly to Reykjavik
Return to Iceland
Disembarkation in Nuuk and time to visit the National Museum, famous for its 500-year-old mummies. In the afternoon, charter flight back to Reykjavik for the final night of the program.

Day 12: Depart Reykjavik
End of the journey
After breakfast, independent transfer to Keflavik airport for your return flight or continuation of your stay in Iceland.
