Day 3: Spitsbergen
Excursion into the heart of Svalbard’s landscapes Breakfast at the hotel. Depart on a 5-hour snowmobile safari to Elveneset (70 km, 2.5 – 3 hours of driving approx.). This safari route takes you through the untouched Arctic landscapes of Svalbard. It is an unforgettable wilderness experience of a comfortable duration, which allows you to get up close and personal with the majestic landscapes. With luck, you'll encounter local wildlife, such as Svalbard reindeer and perhaps an arctic fox. A light snack will be served to you during the excursion. (Driving license required). Lunch under own arrangement Tonight, a unique experience discovering the wild nature at 78 degrees North! You will take the road towards the Advent Valley to Camp Barentz, at the foot of Breinosa Mountain. Far from the city, it is a privileged place to make the most of the exceptional landscapes of Svalbard. During the evening, your host will welcome you around a cozy campfire to enjoy reindeer stew. A typical Svalbard meal! After dinner you will experience an engaging conversation during which you will learn more about the polar bear, the King of the Arctic. Before your return to civilization, don't forget to marvel at the desert landscape before you. Overnight and dinner at the Radisson Blu Polar Hotel or similar.

There you can see the remains of 1000year-old frozen plants, encased in ice, surrounded by fantastic glacial formations, narrow passages and large caverns. You will be equipped with a powerful headlamp, which illuminates the ice in the narrow passage. Hidden from most people, the Ice Cave shows a world of frozen wonder, while providing an insight into Svalbard's climatic history. Lunch under own arrangement OPTION: Sled dogs in Bolterdalen Driving a dog sled in this season is a magical experience. The chalky white Bolterdalen Mountains are illuminated by the sun and as the dogs pull you towards Bolterdalen you experience the unique and beautiful landscapes from all sides. Your guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the dog park located about 10 kilometers outside of town. Here the dogs are impatiently waiting to go out for a walk. You can borrow thermal suits, boots and mittens before helping the guide harness and prepare the dogs. When the dogs set off, there is total silence. The dogs are entirely focused on the task of moving the sled, allowing you to concentrate on observing the fantastic nature around you.

Day 5: Spitsbergen- OSLO Breakfast at the hotel. Option: Exciting discovery of a coal mine. Immerse yourself in the history of the archipelago, the miners and their life in the mountains.
