This expedition journey connects Norway’s Hanseatic heritage with the untamed lands of Iceland. Starting in Bergen, famous for its UNESCO-listed Bryggen wharf and status as a City of Gastronomy, the voyage heads to Lerwick in the Shetland Islands, where Stone Age ruins and native ponies reveal a rich Nordic and Scottish heritage. After crossing the North Atlantic, the ship reaches Iceland’s Eastfjords, discovering picturesque Seyðisfjörður and crossing the Arctic Circle at Grímsey Island.
As the itinerary progresses along Iceland's northern coast, explorers will visit Siglufjörður, a former herring industry hub, and Akureyri, the vibrant capital of the north. The adventure continues through the magical Westfjords to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, home to the iconic Kirkjufell mountain. With immersive photography workshops and the accompaniment of naturalists, this expedition offers a deep insight into the geology, culture, and wildlife of the North's most captivating regions.
