This expedition journey connects Norway’s Hanseatic heritage with the untamed lands of Iceland. Starting in Bergen, famous for its UNESCO-listed Bryggen wharf and status as a City of Gastronomy, the voyage heads to Lerwick in the Shetland Islands, where Stone Age ruins and native ponies reveal a rich Nordic and Scottish heritage. After crossing the North Atlantic, the ship reaches Iceland’s Eastfjords, discovering picturesque Seyðisfjörður and crossing the Arctic Circle at Grímsey Island.

As the itinerary progresses along Iceland's northern coast, explorers will visit Siglufjörður, a former herring industry hub, and Akureyri, the vibrant capital of the north. The adventure continues through the magical Westfjords to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, home to the iconic Kirkjufell mountain. With immersive photography workshops and the accompaniment of naturalists, this expedition offers a deep insight into the geology, culture, and wildlife of the North's most captivating regions.

Day 1: Bergen, Norway
Gateway to the Fjords
Embark in Norway’s second-largest city. Take the funicular to Mount Floyen for panoramic views and walk through the historic Bryggen wharf before setting sail.

Day 2: Lerwick (Shetland Islands), Scotland
Nordic Heritage in Scotland
Explore Iron Age ruins, heather-covered moors, and Fort Charlotte. Visit the Shetland Museum to understand the deep historical ties between these islands and Norway.

Day 3: At Sea
Relaxation at Sea
A day to enjoy the spa, attend lectures by cultural experts, or share stories with fellow travelers on deck as we cross toward Iceland.

Day 4-5: Seyðisfjörður, Iceland
Pearl of the Eastfjords
Discover this picturesque village of wooden houses and the famous Rainbow Street. Explore the Fjarðará valley with its numerous waterfalls cascading down to the fjord lagoon.

Day 6: Grímsey Island, Iceland
On the Edge of the Arctic Circle
Visit Iceland’s northernmost inhabited point. Cross the Arctic Circle line and observe massive colonies of puffins and razorbills among stunning basalt columns.

Day 6-7: Siglufjörður, Iceland
Fishing Culture and Dramatic Landscapes
Explore this historic fishing town, home to museums dedicated to the herring industry. Opportunity for hiking or kayaking in pristine waters surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

Day 7: Akureyri, Iceland
The Capital of the North
Visit the Botanical Garden, located just 50 km from the Arctic Circle, and the iconic Akureyrarkirkja church. Enjoy the rich local culture and city gastronomy.

Day 8: Isafjörður, Iceland
Charming Westfjords
Surrounded by flat-topped mountains, this fishing town is known for its local energy. Visit the Westfjord History Museum or sample craft beer brewed with mountain spring water.

Day 9: Grundarfjörður, Iceland
In the Shadow of Kirkjufell
Exploration of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Photograph Kirkjufell mountain and its waterfall, a fantasy setting, and visit the "Thunderstorm" orca sculpture in town.

Day 10: Reykjavík, Iceland
End of the Expedition
