The photography workshops are composed of onboard lectures and practical activities led by dedicated expedition guide. Each session is meant to give you additional skills you can put into immediate practice out in nature.
You'll become more familiar with your own camera equipment while also learning best practices for taking pictures of moving wildlife and wide-open terrain in typical polar conditions, such as dim lighting and falling snow.

On board the Zodiac you will discover a world of possibilities; accessing the most exclusive landing sites, cruising the coast in search of wildlife or simply enjoying a tour in the calm of the polar regions in search of marine wildlife or bird colonies.

The capital of Greenland, Nuuk, sits in the fjord system of the same name best known for humpback whales, waterfalls and icebergs. This unique city contains mountains and expansive backcountry on one side and a thriving metropolitan on the other, filled with culinary experiences, museums and fashion boutiques. Hiking, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking can be found most anywhere for more active explorers. Nuuk’s cultural center Katuaq displays architectural prowess with a building designed to mimic the waves of the Aurora Borealis. You may find an opportunity to fish for cod or redfish and have it cooked for you at the gourmet restaurant Qooqqut Nuan.
Day 7 - Ivittuut, Greenland
Once a bustling cryolite mining town, Ivittuut now stands as a testament to Greenland’s rich heritage and the awe-inspiring beauty of the Arctic. Wander through the remnants of the ancient cryolite mine and learn about its significant role in history as a key site for the World War II Allies’ victory. These eerily beautiful, abandoned buildings silently narrate the history of the miners and their families. Glide through serene, crystal-clear waters, navigating around icebergs and absorbing the breathtaking landscapes on a possible kayaking excursion or Zodiac safari. Some of the Arctic’s finest wildlife resides in the area, so keep your eyes open for majestic musk oxen as they graze across the tundra. Snow-capped mountains on the horizon and borders of glaciers and icebergs make this a stunning waterway to navigate on an expedition. You may possibly make a landing in the tiny village of Aappilattoq, home to fewer than 100 people living in the colorful, yellow, red and blue, Nordic-style houses. Around the sound wildlife is abundant, with frequent sightings of fin, minke and blue whales, as well as bearded and ringed seals.
