Day 1: Reykjavík, Iceland
Begin Your Adventure
Your voyage starts in the late afternoon, following a day of independent exploration and arrival in the captivating city of Reykjavík.
Iceland’s cosmopolitan capital was founded in 874 CE.
Powered by geothermal energy, Reykjavík is often regarded as one of the cleanest and greenest cities in the world. Food, culture, and nightlife are abundant.
The National Culture House preserves treasures such as the Poetic Edda and the Norse Sagas in their original manuscripts.

Day 2: At Sea
Set Sail like the Vikings
Watch for whales and seabirds as we cross the Denmark Strait.
You will truly be sailing in the wake of the Vikings as we head westward from Iceland.
Our onboard learning program will prepare you for the archaeology, history, culture, and wildlife that await you in Greenland.

Day 3–5: Southeast Greenland
Witness Fjords, Icebergs, and Whales
Discover the remote expanses of southeast Greenland by ship, in Zodiacs, and on land.
Your first glimpses of this rarely visited region will reveal a striking coastline lined with countless fjords and perhaps scattered with pack ice.
Whether on foot, ashore, or aboard the ship, our skilled expedition team will accompany you, sharing their deep knowledge. Join them on deck to search for Arctic wildlife such as polar bears, seals, and humpback whales. Their expertise will help you form a deeper connection to these magnificent landscapes.

Day 6: Ikerasassuaq (Prince Christian Sound)
Marvel at Mountains and Glaciers
Make the most of your time on deck as our team scouts for possible shore landings along this awe-inspiring landscape.
Enjoy the natural beauty of Ikerasassuaq (Prince Christian Sound), one of the most majestic waterways on Earth, where the Irminger and Labrador Seas meet through the islands of the Cape Farewell Archipelago.
Here, rugged mountain peaks rise over calm waters fed by calving glaciers.

Day 7: Brattahlíð
Tour a Reconstructed Norse Settlement
Visit the remarkable Brattahlíð, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Greenland’s most fertile region. Stroll among a rebuilt Norse church and Viking longhouse for full immersion into the Viking era.
Once home to Viking explorer Erik the Red and his descendants until the 1400s, Brattahlíð is now managed by Greenlandic Inuit who continue to tend the sheep farms established by the Norse settlers.

Day 8–9: South Greenland
Explore Dramatic Landscapes
South Greenland’s fertile land supports thriving agriculture. Farms and vegetable plots contrast sharply with the ice covering much of the country. Here, jagged mountains rise above green meadows, and sheep farms lie alongside magnificent ice fjords. The deep blue waters and towering cliffs provide an unforgettable backdrop for every experience.
Exploring by Zodiac or on foot, you’ll be surrounded by this distinctive landscape, where Norse heritage meets modern Greenlandic life. The fjords add unmatched beauty and tranquility to the journey.

Day 10: Sermersooq
Enjoy Birdwatching and Zodiac Cruising
Explore Greenland’s Sermersooq region by Zodiac or on foot, as conditions allow.
This area boasts a spectacular array of mountain peaks, glaciers, and fjords, with human history stretching back more than 1,500 years.
Look out for nattoralik (white-tailed eagles), seabirds, and marine mammals while enjoying southwest Greenland’s lush vegetation.

Day 11–12: Nuuk
Visit Museums, Shops, and Cafés
Discover vibrant Nuuk, Greenland’s capital. Visit the Greenland National Museum, home to the renowned Qilakitsoq mummies.
The old harbour retains buildings from the Danish colonial era, while modern Nuuk is celebrated for its art, shopping, pubs, and cafés.
Your journey concludes here. Disembark by Zodiac, then transfer to the airport by bus for your charter flight to Toronto, ON.
