Not only we travel from one point to another and find our shelter on board the ship we chose. We also enjoy from incredible scenery, landscapes and interactions that only our noble vessel can provide.
Everyday the Bridge Team navigates the ship to position ourselves on the best posible spots, looking for unique opportunities.
Many times, this includes sainig through narrow passages, on the vicinity of glaciers or entering bays and fjords only approachable from the ship.

Shore excursions are the backbone of almost all itineraries, with most ships making landfall at least once every day once they reach their destination. The weather plays a huge role in your daily itinerary, although given the sheer array of fantastic landing sites all over there are plenty of options your Captain and Expedition Leader can choose from. On-shore excursions allow you to visit scientific research stations, communities, prominent wildlife colonies and take hikes to elevated viewing points for fantastic photography.

The photography workshops are composed of onboard lectures and practical activities led by dedicated expedition guide. Each session is meant to give you additional skills you can put into immediate practice out in nature.
You'll become more familiar with your own camera equipment while also learning best practices for taking pictures of moving wildlife and wide-open terrain in typical polar conditions, such as dim lighting and falling snow.
Zodiac cruising More info about this activity
On board the Zodiac you will discover a world of possibilities; accessing the most exclusive landing sites, cruising the coast in search of wildlife or simply enjoying a tour in the calm of the polar regions in search of marine wildlife or bird colonies.
The blue ice an its intimate presence is experienced at its best on zodiac tours.

There’s important work being done every day, at some of the most renowned climate research facilities around the world, to record and study the incredible changes happening in remote places like Antarctica and th Arctic. As you might imagine, gathering critical on-site data on a regular basis would be a virtually impossible task for these groups. So we do it for them, in partnership with different research facilities.
If you’d like to get a first-hand look at how climate change is impacting our birds, sea life, glaciers, oceans, and weather patterns, and help scientists better understand our evolving planet, you’re welcome to join our Citizen Science program. Set sail from the vibrant Icelandic capital of Reykjavík on an expedition exploring the Arctic gems of Iceland and East Greenland. The voyage begins by visiting volcanic Heimaey in the Westman Islands, the diverse Snæfellsnes Peninsula beneath iconic Kirkjufell mountain, and the peaceful Westfjords region, home to thriving seabird colonies on Vigur Island. Crossing the Denmark Strait, the vessel enters the stunning glacial landscapes of East Greenland's coast, where enormous icebergs drift through the awe-inspiring expanse of Sermilik Fjord.
In Greenlandic territory, travelers will explore the fascinating World War II history at Ikateq, experience authentic East Greenlandic culture in Kuummiit and Tasiilaq, and encounter local traditions such as Inuit drum dancing. Day 1: Reykjavík, Iceland: Embarkation

Board your expedition vessel in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavík. After completing mandatory safety drills, join the Expedition Team on the outer decks as the ship sails along the Reykjanes Peninsula toward the wild Westman Islands.
Day 2: Heimaey, Westman Islands
Volcanoes and seabird colonies
Explore Heimaey, the largest and only inhabited island in Vestmannaeyjar. Walk the lava fields of Eldfell volcano or scan the cliffs for puffins, fulmars, and gannets. Weather permitting, cruise past Surtsey Island, a protected natural laboratory.
Day 3: Grundarfjörður, Snæfellsnes Peninsula
Kirkjufell peak and Snæfellsjökull volcano
Arrive in the charming village of Grundarfjörður, framed by the iconic Kirkjufell peak. Explore the town on foot or visit Snæfellsnes National Park, home to the glacier-capped Snæfellsjökull volcano.
Day 4: Vigur Island and Ísafjörður

Visit tiny Vigur Island, nesting ground for vast colonies of puffins, eider ducks, and Arctic terns. In the afternoon, visit the harbor town of Ísafjörður before setting sail across the North Atlantic toward East Greenland.

Navigate the jaw-dropping Sermilik Fjord, located between Ammassalik Island and the inland ice sheet. Explore the drifting icebergs on the water with your Expedition Team and watch for whales feeding in the fjord.
Day 7: Ikateq and Kuummiit
Wartime heritage and local village life
In the morning, visit the historic site of Ikateq (Bluie Two East), a former 1940s American air base set in striking scenery. In the afternoon, visit Kuummiit village to meet local residents and experience East Greenlandic culture.
Day 8: Tasiilaq
Cultural heartland of East Greenland
Visit Tasiilaq, the largest town in East Greenland. Meet local sled dogs, witness a traditional Inuit drum dance, hike the surrounding flower-filled hills, or browse handcrafted souvenirs at local artisan workshops.
Day 9: At sea, en route to Iceland
Reflections and ocean crossing
A relaxing day at sea returning to Iceland. Compare photos with fellow travelers, attend final lectures, unwind in the hot tubs, and view the expedition slideshow during the Captain’s Farewell Cocktail Party.
Day 10: Reykjavík, Iceland: Disembarkation
End of the expedition
Arrive in Reykjavík in the morning. After breakfast, disembark the ship and farewell your Expedition Team and crew before heading home or exploring Iceland further.

Triple Stateroom (Porthole) - 18-22 m2
There are four Triple Staterooms on board Ocean Albatros featuring portholes, all with private en-suites. Located on Deck 3, they\'re close to the mudroom and loading platforms.
Triple staterooms are normally with twin beds however a double bed can be accommodated while the a third is a single bed.

Albatros Stateroom (Porthole) - 13-22 m2

The most abundant type of cabin on Ocean Victory, the Balcony State Cabins are located in decks 4 & 6. They have a private balcony, a double bed or two single beds, a bathroom with bathtub and a sofa that can be used as a bed for a child if traveling as a family. If you desire to book two cabins with connecting doors, this is also a possibility under this category.
Grand Balcony Stateroom - app. 25-30 m2
The Grand Balcony Staterooms are located on deck 4. They have a balcony, a double bed or two single beds, and a bathroom.
