Your journey crosses the Denmark Strait, following a historic Viking route, before plunging you into East Greenland's dramatic, ice-filled wilderness. The core of the adventure lies in the fjords, where ancient glaciers have carved a maze of sparkling icebergs and serene channels. You will experience the vibrant Inuit culture of Tasiilaq, where time-honored traditions and drum dances narrate centuries-old stories.

The expedition traces the magnificent southern coast, cruising through the spectacular Prince Christian Sound, a waterway famed for its borders of glaciers and abundant wildlife, including fin and blue whales. You will connect with Greenland's deep history by visiting the best-preserved Norse ruin at Hvalsey and experience the breathtaking Tasermiut Fjord, nicknamed the "Patagonia of the North." The trip balances adventure with serenity, offering a chance to relax in the Uunartoq Hot Springs amid drifting icebergs before concluding in the thriving capital of Nuuk.

Day 1: Reykjavík, Iceland

Day 2: Dynjandi Waterfall (Isafjordur), Iceland

Imagine standing before the majestic Dynjandi waterfall. Navigate the serene waters at the base of Dynjandi, getting an unparalleled view from a genuinely unique angle. Feel the spray of the icy waters and the thrill of adventure as you glide closer.

Day 3: Navigating the Denmark Strait
Open-ocean drama and abundant wildlife
Sailing between Greenland and Iceland, the Denmark Strait combines open-ocean drama with abundant wildlife. Keep watch for humpback and minke whales, and relish the sense of following a historic route once crossed by Viking seafarers.

Day 4: Sermilik Fjord Scenic Navigation / Tasiilaq, Greenland
Iceberg maze and vibrant Inuit culture
Sermilik Fjord is a maze of sparkling icebergs and serene channels. Zodiac cruises or gentle hikes along the shore let you admire seals resting on floes. Later, in Tasiilaq, you can engage with the warm local communities, renowned for their artisanal crafts and storytelling prowess.

Days 5-6: King Frederick VI Coast Scenic Navigation / Lindenow Fjord Scenic Navigation
Remote sanctuary and sheer cliffs
Cruising along Greenland’s remote King Frederick VI Coast unveils a wilderness of sheer cliffs, cascading glaciers, and lively marine life. The journey continues to Lindenow Fjord, a deep corridor ringed by jagged peaks and hanging glaciers, rewarding guests with stirring vistas.

Day 7: Prince Christian Sound / Kangerluq Fjord Scenic Navigation / Tupaasattat, Greenland – Captain’s Choice
Glacier-lined strait and rolling tundra
Sail through the awe-inspiring Prince Christian Sound, a stunning waterway to navigate. Alternatively, thread through Kangerluq Fjord, or land at Tupaasattat, an Arctic landscape defined by rolling tundra and distinctive pingos—ice-cored hills.

Day 8: Tasermiut Fjord Scenic Navigation / Uunartoq Hot Springs, Greenland / Aappilattoq, Greenland – Captain’s Choice Patagonia of the North and geothermal relaxation Tasermiut Fjord, nicknamed the “Patagonia of the North,” dazzles with serrated peaks plunging into jewel-toned water. You may instead sail to Uunartoq Hot Springs to soak in naturally heated waters amid drifting icebergs, or visit Aappilattoq, a village where brightly painted houses dot the shoreline.

Day 9: Hvalsey, Greenland – Captain’s Choice
Greenland’s best-preserved Norse ruin
Hvalsey is home to Greenland’s best-preserved Norse ruin: a stone church that witnessed the last written record of Viking presence on the island. Stroll among the weathered stones, learn of medieval settlements, and take in the peaceful vistas.

Days 10-11: Nuuk, Greenland
Arrival in the capital
Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, is best known for humpback whales, waterfalls and icebergs. This unique city contains mountains on one side and a thriving metropolitan on the other. Enjoy hiking, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking in the area.
