Embark on a remarkable 16-day roundtrip journey from Nuuk along Greenland’s storied shores and into Canada’s Arctic gems. This extensive expedition combines glaciers, wildlife, and cultural heritage across seldom-visited coasts. Starting in Nuuk, you will venture through iceberg-studded Disko Bay to the iconic Ilulissat Icefjord (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The voyage sails to the far north, with visits to remote settlements at Qaanaaq and Siorapaluk, the world’s northernmost inhabited community, where vibrant Inuit traditions thrive. The journey then crosses breathtaking Thule landscapes into Canada’s rugged Arctic before returning south. Along the way, you will cruise past soaring cliffs and sea ice, keeping watch for humpback whales, narwhals, and polar bears, ensuring a profound connection with the wilderness and Inuit culture.

Day 1: Nuuk, Greenland
Embarkation and capital city exploration
The capital of Greenland, Nuuk, is best known for humpback whales, waterfalls and icebergs. This unique city contains mountains and a thriving metropolitan. Active explorers can enjoy hiking, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. Board the yacht before departing in the evening.

Day 2: Evighed Fjord, Greenland – Captain’s Choice
Sailing the Fjord of Eternity
Translating as the “Fjord of Eternity,” Evighedfjord lives up to its name with soaring peaks and blue glaciers spilling into a mirror-calm sea. Zodiac rides glide past sculpted icebergs, where seals lounge and seabirds skim the surface.

Days 3-4: Disko Bay Scenic Navigation / Ilulissat / Kangerluk, Greenland – Captain’s Choice
Iceberg Capital and Inuit heritage
Disko Bay is a wonderland of shifting light, breaching whales, and iceberg-laden waters. Visit Ilulissat ("icebergs") and its UNESCO-listed Icefjord. You may kayak amid icebergs under the Midnight Sun or visit Kangerluk, a friendly settlement that brims with Inuit heritage and hot springs.

Day 5: Uummannaq, Greenland – Captain’s Choice

A second day sailing through legendary Baffin Bay, where every mile offers a new window into the wild beauty that bridges Greenland and Canada.

Day 11: Pond Inlet, Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada – Captain’s Choice
Gateway to the High Arctic
Pond Inlet is one of the Canadian Arctic’s most picturesque communities. Visitors are welcomed with cultural performances, local handicrafts, and stories of life where narwhals and seals share the bay. Polar bears are occasionally sighted along the ice edge.

Day 12: Icy Arm Fjord, Baffin Island, Nunavut – Captains Choice
Natural amphitheater of Arctic grandeur
Jagged peaks frame the glassy waters of Icy Arm Fjord, creating a natural amphitheater of Arctic grandeur. Landings here may include guided hikes or visits to a nearby hamlet. Seals surface in the still water.

Day 13: At Sea / Navigating the Davis Strait
Leisure and productive waters
Spend a leisurely day at the spa or mingling. Alternatively, sail the Davis Strait, which is alive with movement: seabirds skim low over the swells, and whales often rise in these productive waters.

Day 14: Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut – Captain’s Choice
Authentic Canadian Inuit life
Located just off Baffin Island’s eastern coast, Qikiqtarjuaq offers an authentic window into Canadian Inuit life. The surrounding waters are rich with marine life such as bowhead whales and narwhals, and the region is home to a thriving population of polar bears.

Days 15-16: Navigating the Davis Strait / At Sea
Concluding the journey
The final two days are spent navigating the Davis Strait, concluding the expedition as you return south towards Nuuk.
