The itinerary is a guide only and is subject to change due to weather and ice conditions. Your Captain and Expedition Leader will make the necessary adjustments to ensure the best possible experience.
Join an extraordinary polar expedition in partnership with small-ship travel experts as we return to the Svalbard Archipelago. We will sail on board an agile and nimble fifty-person expedition ship, a vessel specially designed to access narrow areas and secret anchorages often not possible with larger traditional cruise lines. On this unique itinerary, our primary aim is to spend extra time exploring the vast and ever-changing pack ice in the fascinating ecosystem north of Spitsbergen. This provides passengers with the exceptional opportunity to experience the pristine tranquility of the floating ice fields while looking out for the specialized wildlife of the Arctic Ocean, such as seals, ivory gulls, and polar bears.
Our philosophy is strictly focused on ensuring we maximize the wild outdoor experience for our travel groups. The ship will serve as a comfortable floating base camp, allowing guests to retreat to the comfort of their cozy cabins and dining room whenever required, but keeping each day's focus entirely on what's outside the ship, which is truly spectacular. The midnight sun opens up many unique opportunities, allowing groups to enjoy post-dinner outdoor activities. The expanded activities available include not only general cruising but also adventurous hiking led by expert naturalists and historians across snow-free slopes decorated by purple saxifrage, wildlife-viewing Zodiac rides through calm fjords, and a regular sea kayaking program with daily outings lasting up to four hours.

NOTE: Embracing the unexpected is part of the legacy—and excitement—of expedition travel. When traveling in extremely remote regions, your expedition staff must allow the sea, the ice and the weather to guide route and itinerary details. This itinerary is a tentative outline of what you’ll experience on this voyage; please be aware that no specific itinerary can be guaranteed.
