Join a Greenland photo tour to Scoresby with Arctic photography and northern lights expert Virgil Reglioni. Experience this unique voyage to photograph the mythical Scoresby Sund, the largest fjord system in the world with a world-class photographer, and just 12 other like-minded photographers.
This voyage takes places during the latter half of September at the optimum time for encountering the Northern Lights. Whilst never guaranteed, there is a chance to witness this phenomenon in one of the most scenic places on Earth with zero light pollution and majestic mountains all around.

Not only we travel from one point to another and find our shelter on board the ship we chose. We also enjoy from incredible scenery, landscapes and interactions that only our noble vessel can provide.
Everyday the Bridge Team navigates the ship to position ourselves on the best posible spots, looking for unique opportunities.
Many times, this includes sainig through narrow passages, on the vicinity of glaciers or entering bays and fjords only approachable from the ship.

The photography workshops are composed of onboard lectures and practical activities led by dedicated expedition guide. Each session is meant to give you additional skills you can put into immediate practice out in nature.
You'll become more familiar with your own camera equipment while also learning best practices for taking pictures of moving wildlife and wide-open terrain in typical polar conditions, such as dim lighting and falling snow.

On board the Zodiac you will discover a world of possibilities; accessing the most exclusive landing sites, cruising the coast in search of wildlife or simply enjoying a tour in the calm of the polar regions in search of marine wildlife or bird colonies.
The blue ice an its intimate presence is experienced at its best on zodiac tours.
It is not uncommon to meet curious seals, or humpback whales feeding.

The following itinerary is an example. This Greenland photo tour is flexible and its course will be defined on daily bases sustained by the opportunities presented by weather, ice and wildlife.
Day 1
The journey begins with a charter flight from Reykjavik, Iceland to Constable Point high above the Arctic circle in East Greenland. Upon arrival, join the ship in the evening and get ready for an unforgettable photography experience.
Day 2 -7
For the next six days, we will explore and photograph the stunning landscapes of Scoresby Sund. We will sail through a pristine wilderness filled with icebergs and fjords. Each day, we will dedicate time to photography and exploring with the Zodiacs. There are many incredible photography opportunities from landscapes, to colossal icebergs and Northern Lights during the dark hours. If conditions permit, we plan to circumnavigate Milne Island.
Day 8
The journey concludes on day 8 with disembarkation and the return charter flight to Reykjavik.
A mandatory charter flight will be arranged by Secret Atlas and the cost is in addition to the photo tour cost.

Scoresby Sund is a very remote area on the coast of East Greenland. Due to the often rough seas between Iceland and Scoresby Sund and the time it takes to cross, we want to offer you the most comfortable experience and will arrange a charter flight and hotel package on your behalf.
Due to Greenland's ever changing weather and the nature of flying there we provide a hotel either side of the expedition so we can re-group. The exact take off time will be communicated on the evening before departure based on the flying conditions.
