This expedition cruise takes you through the southeast region of Alaska, sailing from Seward to Vancouver. The route is famed for its incredible scenery, including Prince William Sound and Icy Bay, with abundant wildlife sightings like orcas, bears and Bald Eagles. Activities like kayaking, hiking, and expedition boat cruising will bring you into close contact with nature.

Seeking out culture, just as much as nature, will be our aim as we experience a warm welcome from the local native peoples of Klawock and Alert Bay. We'll see impressive collections of totem poles and watch a Kwakwaka’wakw dance performance. The journey also includes exploring historic Haines before ending in British Columbia's Vancouver.

Day 1: Your first taste of Alaska
Embarkation in Seward
Your voyage begins in the charming seaside town of Seward. Settle into the ship before listening to the safety briefing.

Day 2: Tidewater glaciers of Prince William Sound
Get ready to experience nature’s raw power
Explore the glaciers of Prince William Sound. The captain will choose the best location to take small expedition boats or kayaks into the fjord.

Day 3: Glaciers of Icy Bay
Spot wildlife in these glacier-fed waters
Explore Icy Bay, a landscape fed by three glaciers. You might get to explore in expedition boats or kayaks and admire Mt. St Elias.

Day 4: Icy Strait Expedition Day
Embrace the thrill of wild Alaska
An exploration day sailing into Icy Strait. Depending on conditions, you may land for a nature walk and scout for marine life at Point Adolphus.

Day 5: Łingít Crafts in Haines
Discover a flourishing artistic heritage
Visit Haines, a town rich in Chilkat Łingít culture and a flourishing art scene. Enjoy hiking and wildlife spotting in the surrounding landscapes.

Day 6: Southeast Alaska Exploration Day
Witness ancient forests and abundant wildlife
Explore a magical corner of the Inside Passage, rich in old-growth forest and abundant wildlife. Take to the water in expedition boats to seek out coves and shorelines.

Day 7: Tracy Arm or Endicott Arm
See the lesser-known gems of Holkham Bay
Visit either Tracy Arm or Endicott Arm, two beautiful fjords in Holkham Bay. See fresh icebergs calve from glaciers and look for harbor seals on the floating ice.

Day 8: Fjords of Southeast Alaska
Explore the scenic bays of Chatham Strait
Start your day looking for whales in Frederick Sound. The Expedition Team will choose the best destination to explore secluded coves in expedition boats.

Day 9: The Totems of Klawock
Discover Klawock’s Native heritage
Visit Klawock, a center for Łingít culture, known for its totem poles. You'll see 21 exquisitely carved examples at the Totem Park.

Day 10: Revel in a wilderness where wildlife thrives
Venture deep into a beautiful and wild realm
Explore Misty Fjords, a pristine wilderness of trees and waterfalls. You'll tour the area by expedition boat or kayak and look for bears, moose, and marine life.

Day 11: Canada’s Inside Passage
See sublime scenery as we sail the Inside Passage
Sail the Inside Passage, a protected stretch of water over 930 miles long. Look for whales and the elusive Kermode bear.

Day 12: Meet the Kwakwaka’wakw
Receive a warm welcome in Alert Bay
Arrive in Alert Bay and meet the Kwakwaka’wakw First Nations community. See elaborate totem poles at the U'mista Cultural Center and watch for orcas.

Day 13: A Taste of Vancouver
Disembark in British Columbia’s iconic city
Your expedition ends in Vancouver. Take some time to explore the city before your onward journey.
