The exploration area spans from King George Island down to the Lemaire Strait, covering approximately 600 nautical miles of pristine wilderness. The days will be filled with Zodiac cruises and extensive landings to discover vast penguin colonies, seal rookeries, and magnificent ice formations. Day 1: Punta Arenas to King George Island
Charter flight and embarkation
Your journey begins in Punta Arenas, Chile, with a transfer from your hotel to the airport. You will take a charter flight to King George Island in the South Shetland Islands, where you will board the Meredian via a Zodiac from the beach.
Meals included: Dinner

Days 2-13: Exploring the West Antarctic Peninsula
Expedition and wildlife encounters
Spend twelve full days exploring the West Antarctic Peninsula. The itinerary is flexible and depends on weather and ice conditions to find the best spots for wildlife. Activities may include Zodiac tours, extensive landings to visit penguin colonies, kayaking, and camping on the ice.
Meals included: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Day 14: King George Island to Punta Arenas
Disembarkation and return flight
The vessel will sail back to King George Island for a charter flight that will take you back to Punta Arenas, Chile. A celebratory dinner or lunch in Punta Arenas is included at the end of the trip.

Pre trip: Please arrive at the departure port/city AT LEAST 36 hours prior to your trip start – WHY, if there is any delay by an airline, or your luggage is lost, you will have a chance to make the trip. Also traveling south is usually a long journey, so it’s nice to have a day + to recuperate before starting on the journey on a lifetime.
The night before the flight to Antarctica there will be a mandatory Safety Briefing where we will explain how the next day will play out. We will also hand you the boots for you to test your size and exchange if necessary. We will also provide vacuums for you to clean your backpacks and pockets, for biosecurity reasons.

Extra accommodation or transportation costs due to delays on flights for weather or logistical reasons.
