Capital of Argentina's Tierra del Fuego province, Ushuaia is considered the gateway to the White Continent and South Pole. Nicknamed “El fin del mundo”, this city nestles in the shelter of mountains plunging straight into the sea. Embarkation takes place in the afternoon, followed by evening departure.
Day 2-3: Crossing the Drake Passage
Polar preparation and ocean sailing
Days spent in the Drake Passage becoming familiar with safety regulations and IAATO guidelines for Zodiac® outings. Join naturalist guides on the exterior decks to spot albatrosses, Cape petrels, and other seabirds gliding in the wind.

Onboard relaxation and lectures
Enjoy the ship's amenities during this day at sea. Relax in the spa, stay active in the fitness center, attend educational lectures, or scan the ocean waves from the upper deck for marine species.
