Not only we travel from one point to another and find our shelter on board the ship we chose. We also enjoy from incredible scenery, landscapes and interactions that only our noble vessel can provide.
Everyday the Bridge Team navigates the ship to position ourselves on the best posible spots, looking for unique opportunities.
Many times, this includes sainig through narrow passages, on the vicinity of glaciers or entering bays and fjords only approachable from the ship.

Shore excursions are the backbone of almost all itineraries, with most ships making landfall at least once every day once they reach their destination. The weather plays a huge role in your daily itinerary, although given the sheer array of fantastic landing sites all over there are plenty of options your Captain and Expedition Leader can choose from. On-shore excursions allow you to visit scientific research stations, communities, prominent wildlife colonies and take hikes to elevated viewing points for fantastic photography.

On board the Zodiac you will discover a world of possibilities; accessing the most exclusive landing sites, cruising the coast in search of wildlife or simply enjoying a tour in the calm of the polar regions in search of marine wildlife or bird colonies.
The blue ice an its intimate presence is experienced at its best on zodiac tours.
It is not uncommon to meet curious seals, or humpback whales feeding.

As you might imagine, gathering critical on-site data on a regular basis would be a virtually impossible task for these groups. So we do it for them, in partnership with different research facilities.
If you’d like to get a first-hand look at how climate change is impacting our birds, sea life, glaciers, oceans, and weather patterns, and help scientists better understand our evolving planet, you’re welcome to join our Citizen Science program. Valeria got her degree in Tourism and in 2012 embarked on a trip to Antarctica as expedition staff for the first time. After several seasons working both in Antarctica and in the Arctic, she decided to make a pause and embark in a new adventure: maternity.
Valeria also made her way in the photography world, and through it she managed to unite the different aspects of her present life.
She currently works as a photographer in the city of Tandil (where she resides) and continues to visit the polar regions accompanying groups as a Tour Leader for The Polar Travel Company, taking advantage of her years of experience in these regions as well as sharing her knowledge from a photographic point of view.

Nicolás is a National Geographic Explorer and nature photographer who in 2023 was honored as the World's Best Photographer. After traveling through more than 15 countries documenting the beauty and challenges of the oceans, he decided to merge his role as a communicator with environmental protection.
Nicolás also built his path by inspiring new generations through photography, managing to bridge art with science and planetary conservation through his lens.
Today, The Polar Travel Company is pleased to have him join us for the first time on this expedition. Nicolás will share his technical expertise and knowledge of the polar regions from a professional and conscious photographic perspective.

Day 1: Arrive & Welcome: Ushuaia
Arrival in the City at the End of the World
Welcome to Ushuaia. Upon arrival at Ushuaia Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for some rest. Afterward, you can explore this unique city, known as the "End of the World," and experience its extraordinary charm as the gateway to Antarctica. Your complimentary Air2Sea transfer will be available from Ushuaia Airport (USH), though pre-reservation is required. If traveling from other places or arriving earlier, your hotel room will be available for check-in starting from 3 pm.
Day 2: Embark: Ushuaia
Morning Leisure and Embarkation on Seaventure
Enjoy your morning at leisure in Ushuaia. Before noon, you will be transferred to the port to embark on the expedition vessel Seaventure and officially begin your unforgettable expedition. After embarkation and a mandatory safety briefing, settle into your cabin and take in the first breathtaking views as the ship prepares to sail.
Days 3–4: Crossing the Drake Passage
Preparation, Lectures, and Anticipation
During the two days crossing the legendary Drake Passage, you will be fully engaged in preparing for the great Antarctic adventure. Expedition team members will hold briefings, providing detailed guidance on Zodiac boat operations, while also instructing on the biosecurity cleaning of clothing and boots to ensure every step meets environmental standards. Onboard lectures will immerse you in the world of Antarctic ecology, revealing fascinating insights into wildlife and the mysteries of the Southern Ocean. Enjoy the relaxing time at sea, browsing polar stories in the onboard polar library or jogging in the gym, all while fueling endless curiosity and anticipation for the gradual approach to the Antarctic continent.
Days 5–8: Antarctica Peninsula
Immersive Exploration and Wildlife Surprises
Finally, we disembark in Antarctica for an immersive exploration, where the islands and continent remain under a blanket of ice and snow. For four days, the expedition team will design the daily itinerary according to weather conditions, focusing on iconic sites such as possibly Cierva Cove, where ice cliffs break off in front of leopard seals and minke whales, or Petermann Island, home to mixed penguin colonies. Activities include walks around Neko Harbour with spectacular views of the glaciers, a visit to the Argentine Brown base in Paradise Bay and a stop at Goudier Island (Port Lockroy). There, explorers will be able to visit the former British base, the museum and the world's southernmost post office to send a unique souvenir from the heart of the continent.
Days 9–10: Crossing the Drake Passage

As the final two days at sea unfold, a gentle melancholy may settle in as we bid farewell to Antarctica. Savor nature at its most exquisite under the soft glow of the setting sun, feeling a serene calm wash over you. Perhaps a shy whale or playful orcas will appear for a last glimpse of the continent's wild magic. The expedition team continues to share captivating lectures, or you may choose to bask in the tranquil stillness of this remote polar realm. This journey will remain an unforgettable, singular experience, etched forever in memory.
Day 11: Disembark: Ushuaia, Argentina
Farewell and Onward Journey
Today we disembark in Ushuaia, saying farewell to the expedition team, fellow travelers, and the Seaventure, marking the end of this once-in-a-lifetime journey. Our complimentary Air2Sea transfer will be available from the pier to Ushuaia Airport (USH) or other downtown areas in the morning (pre-reservation required). We strongly suggest booking a flight departing after 12 PM in case of any delays occur during the voyage.
