Embark on this extraordinary 19-day voyage to explore the highlights of the Southern Ocean. After departing Ushuaia, you will venture east towards the Falkland Islands/Malvinas, a unique blend of British culture (expect tea and red phone boxes) and southern wildness. Here, penguins cavort alongside sheep on former battlefields.

From the Falklands, you will sail to South Georgia, a strip of jagged glacier-clad mountains. The shores here brim with wildlife, with thousands of King Penguins, elephant seals, and Antarctic fur seals; the vast colonies have to be seen to be believed. The journey continues southward into the Gerlache Strait of the Antarctic Peninsula, where glittering ice cliffs and precipitous peaks characterize the wildly beautiful alien landscape. Shore landings and Zodiac safaris will occupy your days, ensuring a matchless expedition experience.

Day 1: Arrival and Embarkation in Ushuaia
Beagle Channel departure
Arrive in Ushuaia, Argentina. Explore this vibrant Patagonian city or stretch your legs in the surrounding forests. Board our vessel in the afternoon. After our mandatory safety drill, our expedition begins as we navigate through the calm waters of the famous Beagle Channel.

Day 2: At Sea Towards the Falkland Islands
History, culture, and marine life spotting
Following the ocean currents of the South Atlantic, we head towards the rarely-visited Falkland Islands. Join your Expedition Team lecturers to hear about these islands' fascinating history and the unique 'Kelper' culture. Keep binoculars at the ready, as the waters are rich with huge whale, seal and penguin populations.

Days 3-4: Falkland Islands, Visit Port Stanley
Cliffside colonies and British culture
On our first day, we will venture to some of the outer islands in the West Falklands—'Camp'. Islands such as West Point, Carcass and Saunders host the majority of the islands' wildlife, including vast cliffside colonies of Southern Rockhopper Penguins and Black-Browed Albatross. During the following morning, we will land in the centre of Port Stanley to explore its distinctively British feel, shops, pubs, and excellent museums.

Days 5-6: At Sea, En Route to South Georgia
Crossing the Furious Fifties and biosecurity
From the Falklands, we set out eastwards towards South Georgia, entering the Furious Fifties. Our Expedition Team will assist you to biosecure your clothing and equipment, while continuing with their in-depth lecture program now focusing on the rich wildlife of South Georgia. Be on the lookout for whales and albatross.

Days 7-10: South Georgia Island, Wildlife Paradise of the South Atlantic
King Penguins, seals, and Shackleton's legacy
Explore South Georgia, a strip of jagged glacier-clad mountains. Beaches throng with hundreds of thousands of King Penguins and abundant Antarctic fur seals. We'll visit the historic Grytviken whaling station, the burial site of Sir Ernest Shackleton. The sites you visit will deliver wildlife encounters unrivaled anywhere else on Earth.

Days 11-12: At Sea - Crossing the Drake Passage Southbound
Lectures and preparations for Antarctica
Now comes the time to cross the famed Drake Passage. Your days will be put to good use preparing for our arrival in Antarctica—your Expedition Leader will brief you comprehensively on how to stay safe and biosecure your equipment for the second time.

Days 13-16: Antarctic Sound, Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands
Gerlache Strait exploration and historic sites
Our Antarctic adventure begins in the South Shetland Islands. We will explore the Antarctic Peninsula in the Gerlache Strait region, visiting sites like Deception Island and the old sealers' anchorage of Yankee Harbour. Feel the spray of water from the blow of a humpback whale on a Zodiac safari in Wilhelmina Bay.

Days 17-18: Crossing the Drake Passage Towards Ushuaia
Rite of passage and farewell celebration
We spend two days at sea on our way northwards back across the infamous Drake Passage. Enjoy the flight of the albatross which accompany us northwards. Join the Captain and Officers for the Farewell Cocktail Party and presentation of photos to re-live your Antarctic adventure.

Day 19: Arrival in Ushuaia and Disembarkation
Conclusion of the voyage
We will arrive back at the pier of Ushuaia, Argentina. After a hearty breakfast, it is time to bid a fond farewell to the Crew and Expedition Team, and descend the gangway back to dry land.
