Antarctica21 pioneered a new way to travel to Antarctica in 2003, offering a more comfortable and quicker alternative to the notoriously rough seas of the Drake Passage. This Classic Antarctica Air-Cruise is the most popular itinerary, designed for quick, intimate access to the White Continent. Your journey begins with a two-hour flight from Punta Arenas to King George Island, allowing you to avoid storms and save valuable time for exploration. The air-cruise offers a comprehensive Antarctic experience, focusing on active exploration and high-quality hospitality.
Aboard one of the boutique expedition ships (Magellan Discoverer or Magellan Explorer), which welcome a maximum of 76 guests, you will enjoy direct access to remote areas and maximize your time ashore, as all guests can disembark simultaneously. The voyage includes sailing along ice-filled fjords and among spectacular icebergs, enjoying the company of seabirds, penguins, seals, and whales. Your journey is enriched by the A21Connect program, which offers engaging presentations, insightful interpretation in the field, and interactive workshops like Citizen Science programs, turning you into an active participant in Antarctic exploration.
