Shore excursions are the backbone of almost all itineraries, with most ships making landfall at least once every day once they reach their destination. The weather plays a huge role in your daily itinerary, although given the sheer array of fantastic landing sites all over there are plenty of options your Captain and Expedition Leader can choose from. On-shore excursions allow you to visit scientific research stations, communities, prominent wildlife colonies and take hikes to elevated viewing points for fantastic photography.

Sea kayaking is one of the highlights for any Polar Traveller, providing ice and weather conditions are assessed as safe by your Expedition Team.

This popular alpine activity is easy to learn. No experience is necessary – all you need is a willingness to try. All training is provided and our team of guides will have you trained and ready to go in no more than half an hour.
Participants should be confident in their footing and have an average level of fitness – outings may be up to three hours in duration. Those who enjoy hiking trails or taking long walks at home will possess enough fitness to enjoy this activity. As with any other activity, you will get more enjoyment out of it with some preparation in advance, such as long walks with uphill sections or bike riding.
In Antarctica, the longest hike can be 2-3 hours long, while in the Arctic it can be a full day tour.
Once arriving by flight to Antarctica, you will sail between the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. Enjoy seeing ice-filled fjords and spectacular icebergs, while spotting penguins, seals, and whales that call the White Continent home. DAY 1 | USHUAIA
Your journey begins in Ushuaia, Argentina. Board your ship and sail along the Beagle Channel towards Antarctica.
Important note: Boarding in Ushuaia is exclusively between 15:00 hrs. and 16:00 hrs. At 16:00 hrs., boarding will close. Please be on time. Keep your passport on hand and allow enough time to clear port security and reach the vessel.
DAY 2-3 | CROSSING DRAKES PASSAGE
Sail towards Antarctica across the famous passage named in honor of Sir Francis Drake, the great 16th-century British explorer. As you sail en route
to the South Shetland Islands, attend an engaging program of lectures and presentations. In the company of expert guides, watch for wildlife from the glass-enclosed lounge or the outside decks. You may spot magnificent sea birds, such as albatrosses and petrels, as well as different species of whales on their way south to Antarctica. After crossing the Antarctic Convergence, the environment changes noticeably. Keep your camera ready, as this is the time to watch for the first icebergs and the sight of Antarctic land.
DAYS 4 - 7 | EXPLORING ANTARCTICA
Cruise between the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, sailing along ice-filled fjords and among spectacular icebergs while enjoying the company of sea birds, penguins, seals, and whales. Each day, disembark by Zodiac boat and explore the landscape together with expert polar guides. Enjoy spectacular vistas from the glass-enclosed lounge of the ship while sharing your daily adventures with fellow guests.

The Expedition Team sets the voyage route to take advantage of the ever-changing opportunities provided by nature, crafting a unique and extraordinary experience each time. While the exact itinerary changes with each expedition, you will explore several locations that offer the best possible overview of the varied Antarctic environment. Your voyage may include visits to sites such as Paulet Island, Hope Bay, Port Lockroy, Petermann Island, Paradise Bay, Deception Island, the Lemaire Channel,or many other magnificent places. Our adventure will be very active, with several daily landings and cruises in Zodiacs, lectures, and a very enjoyable time on board. Departure from Antarctica will be in the afternoon or evening of Day 7, depending on weather conditions.
DAY 8 -9 | SAILING BACK
Return to South America with a northbound crossing of the Drake
Passage. Relax and take the time to watch for wildlife from the bridge or outside decks and participate in the presentations offered on Antarctic topics in the lounge.
DAY 8 | DISEMBARKATION
The program ends upon arrival at the port in Ushuaia.

Our spacious Triple cabin features two lower single berths and two upper single berths. Located on Upper Deck 3, these larger cabins offer two wardrobes and plenty of room to relax. The cabins are 14 sq. m (150 ft2) and have an exterior location and a picture window with unobstructed views. Enjoy facilities including a writing desk with chair, private bathroom with shower and individually controlled heating system.
Situated on Upper Deck 3, Classic Twin cabins offer two comfortable berths - one lower single and one upper single. The Classic Twin cabin provides a cosy retreat, ideal for guests travelling together. The cabins measure 8 sq. m (87 ft2) and have an exterior location with a picture window. Enjoy facilities including a writing desk with chair and a private bathroom with shower, individually controlled heating system and wardrobe.
Situated on Upper Deck 3, Explorer Double cabins offer a lower double bed and two upper single berths, making them ideal for couples. The cabins measure 10 sq. m (106 ft2) and have an exterior location and picture window with unobstructed views. Facilities include a writing desk with chair, private bathroom with shower, an individually controlled heating system and a wardrobe.
This spacious cabin on Upper Deck 3 features two lower single berths and two upper single berths, making it ideal for those seeking extra space and comfort. Two wardrobes provide generous storage space for all your expedition needs. The cabin measures 14 sq. m (150 ft2) with an exterior location and a picture window from which you can enjoy unobstructed views. Facilities include a writing desk with chair, private bathroom with shower and an individually controlled heating system.
Single cabins on Upper Deck 3 features one lower single and one upper single berth. They are perfect for solo travellers seeking comfort and privacy.
