This late summer expedition toward the Antarctic Polar Circle offers an exceptional opportunity to navigate waters frequented by humpback, minke, and fin whales. During this time, whales gorge themselves on krill before migration, while penguin chicks begin to fledge, creating a buzz of activity on beaches under the watchful eyes of leopard seals. The journey includes geographical milestones such as Detaille Island, accessible only on voyages crossing south of the Antarctic Circle, and Deception Island, a submerged volcanic crater serving as a natural harbor.

Aboard the vessel and through Zodiac excursions, explorers will discover epic landscapes of colossal glaciers and wind-carved snow. From the alpine peaks of Neko Harbour to the iceberg-filled waters of the Melchior Islands, each day allows for a deep immersion into Antarctic ecology. Day 1: End of the world, start of a journey
Setting sail from Ushuaia
Your voyage begins in the southernmost city on the planet. Embark in the afternoon and sail the mountain-fringed Beagle Channel for the remainder of the evening.

Day 2 - 3: Path of the polar explorers
Crossing the Drake Passage
Experience the salt breezes and rolling seas faced by great explorers. After passing the Antarctic Convergence, observe the transition in marine and avian life, including wandering albatrosses and Antarctic petrels.

Day 4 - 10: Sights of late summer Antarctica
Exploring the Peninsula and the Polar Circle
Days dedicated to whale watching and exploring iconic sites. Activities may include landings at Cuverville Island, Zodiac cruises in Neko Harbour, and crossing the Polar Circle in Crystal Sound to visit Detaille Island.

Day 11 - 12: Familiar seas, familiar friends
Return through the Drake
Northward return voyage. Enjoy the company of seabirds that will now feel familiar as you exchange stories of the expedition.

Day 13: There and back again
Disembarkation in Ushuaia
Arrive at the port of Ushuaia in the morning to end the adventure with lasting memories of the white continent.
