The Antarctic Explorer: A Culinary Quest is an exclusive 10-day expedition proving that travel to the planet's most remote region need not sacrifice culinary excellence. From the welcoming gourmet dinner in Ushuaia to the exquisitely prepared dishes served onboard, you will dine on meals crafted from the finest ingredients, often complemented by engaging culinary demonstrations from our onboard chefs. This journey is designed to delight all the senses, pairing exceptional gastronomy with the dramatic, panoramic views of glaciers, towering icebergs, and wildlife-rich Antarctic shores.
During the height of the Antarctic summer, the expedition offers long, sunlit days ideal for unforgettable wildlife encounters. We sail across the Drake Passage towards the Peninsula, where four full days are dedicated to exploration—twice-daily landings or Zodiac cruises bring you close to penguin rookeries, historic huts, and active feeding grounds for whales and seals. The return journey is made seamless by a charter flight over the Drake Passage from King George Island to Punta Arenas, allowing more time for exploration and ensuring a comfortable end to this unique adventure.
Highlights:
Experience refined dining that excites the palate, complemented by engaging culinary demonstrations from our onboard chefs.
Enjoy the heartwarming sight of newly hatched penguin chicks.
Seize the chance to spot leopard seals on ice floes from our Zodiacs.
Fly over the Drake Passage in one direction, saving time at sea.
Cruise along spectacular ice cliffs and among grounded icebergs in various shades of blue.
