Follow the legendary Viking routes across high-latitude coasts where glaciers, fjords, and shifting light set the pace. Departing from Kangerlussuaq, a former WWII airbase rich in tundra wildlife, the voyage traces Greenland's spectacular west coast through the dramatic Eternity Fjord and Disko Island, where colourful houses pop against red basalt mountains. Crossing the Arctic Circle, explore historical settlements and enjoy expert-led lectures and citizen science workshops that help you contribute to environmental research.
The journey continues across the Davis Strait into Canada's Arctic, calling at Iqaluit and the rugged cliffs of Lady Franklin Island, home to ancient Archean rocks and polar wildlife. Cruise the towering peaks of Torngat Mountains National Park and visit Nain, the gateway to the Labrador wilderness. A major historical milestone is reached at L'Anse aux Meadows, the first and only authenticated Viking site in the Americas occupied by Leif Erikson, before navigating through the breathtaking waters of Bonne Bay and finishing in the vibrant, historic port city of Halifax.
