The town is home to The North Pole Expeditions Museum, which chronicles early efforts to reach the pole by air. Arctic waters around are populated by whales (including bowheads and narwhals) and walruses. Board the ship and prepare for the expedition.

Days 2–10: Svalbard
Polar Bear Kingdom and Archipelago Exploration
Svalbard is the kingdom of the polar bears, located deep in the Arctic Circle, featuring varied polar landscapes and gargantuan glaciers. This comprehensive exploration includes visiting remote islands such as Nordaustlandet and Edgeøya. The itinerary is flexible, driven by conditions, seeking prime hunting grounds for polar bears among the remaining sea ice in the north. Closer to Longyearbyen, the focus shifts to tundra and beaches where you can spot Svalbard reindeer, ringed seals, and arctic fox. Walrus sightings are also regular throughout this Arctic hotspot.

Day 10: Longyearbyen
Return to the Northernmost Settlement
