Embark on a complete 10-day circumnavigation of the Svalbard archipelago, experiencing the High Arctic as an unfolding, interconnected polar wilderness. Beginning in Oslo with a dedicated charter flight to Longyearbyen, the expedition sets sail into the glacier-filled fjords of Northwest Spitsbergen National Park, exploring the historic whaling station at Smeerenburg, active tidewater glaciers in Kongsfjorden, and the international polar research community of Ny-Ålesund.

Navigating into the high-latitude waters of northern and northeastern Spitsbergen, the voyage charts Hinlopen Strait and the basalt seabird cliffs of Alkefjellet before tracing the shifting edge of the pack ice to search for seals and polar bears. The journey completes the loop across the remote, rarely visited tundra landscapes of Barentsøya and Edgeøya in Southeast Svalbard, continuing into the dramatic alpine fjords of Hornsund within South Spitsbergen National Park. The journey concludes with a charter flight from Longyearbyen to Copenhagen.

Highlights:
Full circumnavigation of the Svalbard archipelago dynamically adapted to ice and weather conditions.
Slow navigation along the shifting pack ice boundary with opportunities to spot seals and polar bears.
Zodiac cruising before active tidewater glacier fronts in Kongsfjorden, Krossfjorden, and Hornsund.
Encountering massive seabird breeding colonies along the towering vertical rock faces of Alkefjellet.
Exploring the pristine wilderness, broad tundra plains, and remote coastlines of Barentsøya and Edgeøya.
