Not only we travel from one point to another and find our shelter on board the ship we chose. We also enjoy from incredible scenery, landscapes and interactions that only our noble vessel can provide.
Everyday the Bridge Team navigates the ship to position ourselves on the best posible spots, looking for unique opportunities.
Many times, this includes sainig through narrow passages, on the vicinity of glaciers or entering bays and fjords only approachable from the ship.

Shore excursions are the backbone of almost all itineraries, with most ships making landfall at least once every day once they reach their destination. The weather plays a huge role in your daily itinerary, although given the sheer array of fantastic landing sites all over there are plenty of options your Captain and Expedition Leader can choose from. On-shore excursions allow you to visit scientific research stations, communities, prominent wildlife colonies and take hikes to elevated viewing points for fantastic photography.

On board the Zodiac you will discover a world of possibilities; accessing the most exclusive landing sites, cruising the coast in search of wildlife or simply enjoying a tour in the calm of the polar regions in search of marine wildlife or bird colonies.
The blue ice an its intimate presence is experienced at its best on zodiac tours.
It is not uncommon to meet curious seals, or humpback whales feeding.

This popular alpine activity is easy to learn. No experience is necessary – all you need is a willingness to try. All training is provided and our team of guides will have you trained and ready to go in no more than half an hour.
Participants should be confident in their footing and have an average level of fitness – outings may be up to three hours in duration. Those who enjoy hiking trails or taking long walks at home will possess enough fitness to enjoy this activity. As with any other activity, you will get more enjoyment out of it with some preparation in advance, such as long walks with uphill sections or bike riding.
In Antarctica, the longest hike can be 2-3 hours long, while in the Arctic it can be a full day tour.

Day 1: Largest town, biggest island
The administrative center of Spitsbergen
You touch down in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Enjoy strolling around this former mining town and visiting the Svalbard Museum. In the early evening, the ship sails out of Isfjorden, where you might spot the first minke whale.
Day 2: Route to Raudfjorden
Glaciers and bird colonies
Sailing to the north coast of Spitsbergen to explore an expansive fjord filled with glaciers. The area is home to ringed and bearded seals, with cliffs supporting thriving seabird colonies and the possibility of polar bears.
Day 3 – 4: Onward to east Greenland
Crossing the sea ice
Depending on conditions, the jagged edge of the east Greenland sea ice may come into sight. Keep watch for whales and migrating seabirds during the ocean transit.
Day 5: Tundra, mountains, and icebergs
First steps in Greenland
Sailing through sea ice into Foster Bay and landing at Myggebugten. Explore the sprawling tundra populated by musk oxen. Sail through Kaiser Franz Josef Fjord, surrounded by towering mountains. The first optional long walk of 6-7 hours takes place today.
Day 6: The islands of Antarctic Sound
Geology at Teufelschloss
Arrival at Teufelschloss (Devil’s Castle), a mountain with layered geology. In the afternoon, visit Blomsterbugt and head into Antarctic Sound to find the islands of Ruth, Maria, and Ella.
Day 7: Alpefjord’s lofty peaks
Alpine landscapes and glaciers
Enter Segelsällskapets Fjord with views of the Berzelius Mountains. A hike offers chances to see musk oxen, Arctic hares, and ptarmigans. In the afternoon, Zodiac cruise around Gully Glacier in the breathtaking Alpefjord.
Day 8: Sights of the Arctic autumn
Fiery vegetation at Antarctic Havn
Morning spent in Antarctic Havn valley, an ideal spot for musk oxen. At this time of year, the sparse vegetation is dressed in fiery autumn colors.
Day 9: Arriving at Earth’s largest fjord
Scoresbysund and basalt columns
Sailing along Boons Kyst. Zodiac cruise past glacier fronts and visit the basalt columns of Vikingebugt. In the afternoon, sail among giant icebergs toward Charcot Havn and walk to the Charcot Glacier.
Day 10: Colors of the cape
Contrasts in Røde Fjord
Zodiac cruise near Sorte Ø, where blue-white icebergs contrast with sediment slopes. Sail through Harefjord to see musk oxen and warm autumnal foliage.
Day 11: Enormous bergs, Arctic hares
Grounded giants and coastal hikes
Encounter colossal icebergs over 100 meters high. Land near Sydkap with good shots of seeing Arctic hares. Today’s long walk covers 12 km to the northeast, visiting Thule summer house remains and whale vertebrae.
Day 12: Settlement at Scoresbysund
Local culture at Ittoqqortoormiit
Tundra landing on Liverpool Land. Afternoon stop at Ittoqqortoormiit, the largest settlement in Scoresbysund, home to five hundred inhabitants and their sled dogs.
Day 13: Sea life under the northern lights
Sailing back
A sea day to spot whales and seabirds. At night, enjoy the opportunity to witness the magical northern lights.
Day 14: Journey’s end at Akureyri
Return to Iceland
Disembark in Akureyri. Optional chartered bus transfer to Reykjavík, taking home memories of this grand polar adventure.
