This 8-day expedition visits two of the world's best locations for viewing the Aurora Borealis—Iqaluit and Yellowknife—ensuring multiple opportunities to witness the dancing lights. The experience blends luxury wilderness comfort with authentic cultural immersion, ranging from private catered dinners to expert-led Inuit sewing workshops.

After exploring the traditional arts and fur clothing of Iqaluit, guests fly to the remote Blachford Lodge via a scenic bush plane flight. The lodge serves as a cozy haven for outdoor adventures like snowmobiling, ice hockey, and building traditional igloos. Travelers can relax in hot tubs or by a bonfire while waiting for the aurora to illuminate the sky. With a small group size of 12 guests, every moment is designed for a profound connection to the North and its people.

Day 1: Arrive in Iqaluit
Fur Clothing and Aurora Workshop
Arrive in Iqaluit and receive a welcome by your host. Visit a local fur clothier to see traditional and modern styles and tour the Legislative Assembly. Enjoy a catered dinner at the Beach House followed by an aurora photography workshop and your first Northern Lights viewing.

Days 2-3: Explore Iqaluit Culture
Artisans, Snowshoeing, and Sewing Workshops
Embark on a cultural city tour and visit the local museum. Enjoy a brewery lunch and artisanal shopping. Explore the Sylvia Grinnell Territorial Park by snowshoe or hike. Participate in an Inuit cultural performance and a sewing workshop. Spend your final nights in Nunavut viewing the aurora.

Day 4: Travel to Yellowknife
Flight to the NWT Capital
Enjoy a final breakfast in Iqaluit before taking an afternoon flight to Yellowknife. Attend a welcome dinner and receive a briefing on the upcoming wilderness stay at Blachford Lodge.

Days 5-7: Blachford Lodge
Wilderness Adventures and Remote Viewing
Take a 30-minute ski-plane flight into the remote wilderness. Settle in with brunch and participate in activities such as snowmobiling, ice hockey, or building an igloo. View the aurora from the lodge's hot tub or around a bonfire. Optional flight-seeing or heli-fishing tours are available.

Day 8: Depart Blachford
Scenic Return and Departure
Enjoy a scenic flight back to Yellowknife. You may extend your city stay or begin your journey home.
