Day 1: Arrival
Reykjavík
Arrival transfer from the airport to the hotel by regular scheduled bus (without guide). If you arrive early in Reykjavík, you can explore the old town of Reykjavík, home to numerous museums and galleries. Reykjavík offers a multitude of restaurants and cafes, an excellent way to get in touch with the Icelandic capital. Free evening in Reykjavík. Please note that early check-in is not included in the price. Most hotels start check-in between 14:00 (2 pm) and 16:00 (4 pm).

Day 2: South Coast – Reykjavík
Lava Fields and Waterfalls
Breakfast at your hotel. Today, join a scheduled full-day tour to discover the wonders of the South Coast of Iceland. The tour includes an audio guide in Spanish. (Please note that this is not a private tour and you will have to download an app for this tour.) The tour begins exploring lava fields next to Hengill mountain, known for its volcanic activity, and continues along majestic waterfalls and coastal landscapes before returning to the capital.

Day 3: Hrútafjörður – Skagafjörður – Akureyri
Northern Lights Hunt on Foot
Breakfast at your hotel. Your guide will meet you at the hotel reception. We begin our journey north. Our first stop is Grábrók, an ancient volcanic crater surrounded by impressive lava fields, where you can take a short hike to the top for panoramic views. We continue the tour crossing Hrútafjörður, a picturesque fjord that borders the road with peaceful landscapes. Following the route, we reach Skagafjörður, a region famous for its Icelandic horses where we will visit the Glaumbær Museum, an ancient Icelandic settlement with turf houses, which offers a fascinating insight into traditional life. Finally, we reach Akureyri, the vibrant “capital of the north,” known for its urban charm, its botanical garden, and its beautiful bay. Free evening in Akureyri. Northern Lights: The Northern Lights or “las luces del norte” as Icelanders say is a magnificent natural phenomenon. These lights can literally be seen dancing in the night sky of the northern hemisphere in winter. With luck and if weather conditions are favorable, you can search for this fantastic show of colors and lights. If time permits, we will do a northern lights hunt on foot.

Day 4: Akureyri – Goðafoss – Lake Mývatn
Geothermal Hot Springs
Breakfast at your hotel. Today, we will make the trip from Akureyri to Lake Mývatn. Leaving Akureyri, the path leads first to Goðafoss, one of the most majestic waterfalls in the country, famous for its half-moon shape and its Viking history. Continuing east, the landscape becomes increasingly volcanic, with unique lava formations. Arriving in Mývatn, we find a lake of calm waters, surrounded by craters, lava fields, and hot springs. The area is rich in birds, especially ducks, and features geothermal phenomena such as the Hverir area, with its bubbling mud pools and steam fumaroles. Visit the Mývatn nature baths to enjoy a relaxing bath (included). Free evening in Akureyri.

Day 5: Akureyri – Borgarfjörður
High-Flowing Hot Springs
Breakfast at your hotel. Today we will undertake our return south, but first we will stop at beautiful Borgarfjörður, a region full of natural wonders. We will start by visiting Deildartunguhver, the highest-flowing hot spring in Europe, famous for its powerful jets of hot water. Then, we will continue toward the spectacular Hraunfossar waterfalls, where water gushes from a lava field creating a unique and amazing landscape. Nearby, we will visit Barnafoss, another waterfall with a tragic and fascinating history, known for its turbulent rapids and its unique rock formation. Dinner and overnight in the Borgarfjörður region.

Day 6: Golden Circle – Reykjavík
National Park & Tectonic Wonders
Breakfast at your hotel. Today we will visit the most interesting and famous areas of Iceland. Our first stop will be at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, and one of the geological wonders of the world. In Þingvellir you can see the effects of tectonic plate movements that have opened several cracks and fissures in the earth's crust. It was right here that the Icelandic Parliament was founded in the 10th century. Then we will go to the famous Geysir geothermal area. There, the Strokkur hot springs eject a column of water into the air every 5-10 minutes, you can also see numerous small springs of boiling water. After this visit and a short drive, we will arrive at Gullfoss waterfall (or “The Golden Waterfall”) which is without a doubt the most famous in the country. We return to Reykjavik and will stop at the Northern Lights Center Aurora Reykjavík: The Center offers immersive exhibitions, real-time forecasts, and stunning visuals of the northern lights. Free evening in Reykjavík.

Day 7: Free day without guide
Capital Exploration
Breakfast at your hotel. Day to visit Reykjavík and discover each of the narrow streets in the center of the capital. In Reykjavík, museums are numerous, portraying both the history of the city and the energetic art scene. Discover Iceland's hidden nature in an unusual way at FlyOver Iceland, an interesting interactive experience. Stroll along the city's main shopping street and discover its art galleries and craft and design shops. Take a walk along the city's boardwalks and enjoy the ocean views. Visit one of the local geothermal pools or have a coffee in a cozy cafe. There are endless ways to spend a great afternoon in the northernmost capital in the world. Enjoy a walk and a last sunset in Reykjavík on your own. Free evening in Reykjavík. Optional activities (pre-paid): Blue Lagoon transfer with comfort entry, FlyOver Iceland admission, whale watching cruise in Faxaflói, or a visit to Hvammsvík hot springs.

Day 8: Departure
Return Flight
Breakfast at the hotel. Please note that breakfast on departure day may be a light breakfast if you take an early morning departure flight. Transfer hotel-airport, by regular scheduled bus (without guide). We recommend leaving the hotel at least three hours before your plane's departure.
