Day 1: Reykjavik
Exploring the dramatic Icelandic capital
Make sure there is sufficient time to explore this diminutive but dramatic capital city. To get your bearings, take the elevator to the top of Hallgrímskirkja church, one of the most distinctive buildings in town. Visit the renowned Harpa Concert Hall at the heart of the regenerated harbour, learn about the island's heritage at the National Museum, or visit Thingvellir National Park located 50 kilometres outside the city.

Day 2: Day at sea
Lectures and photography workshops at sea
Sit back and let the world go by. The ship’s observation decks provide stunning views of the passing ocean. A day at sea gives you the opportunity to mingle with other passengers, head to our library stocked with reference books, get an expert’s view in one of our onboard lectures, or perfect your photography skills with invaluable advice from our professional photographers.

Day 3-5: Scoresbysund

Journey over 350 km into Greenland’s heart through a vast network of fjords, glaciers, and icebergs framed by towering basalt mountains. Seek out muskoxen, Arctic foxes, and mountain hares along the shore, and look for puffins, seals, and whales in the water. You will embark on a 1-hour included adventure deep into the landscapes with the Swan Hellenic Expedition Team via Zodiac cruising and nature walks.

Day 5: Ittoqqortoormiit
Community visit to Greenland's most isolated settlement
Discover one of the world's most remote towns, largely inaccessible by ship for nine months of the year. Home to 450 residents who mostly rely on hunting and fishing, the community preserves ancient Greenlandic traditions. Enjoy a 3-hour included visit to wander through the town and explore the local museum to immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of East Greenland.

Day 6-7: Kong Oscar Fjord
Sailing through towering peaks and deep waters
Cruise through Kong Oscar Fjord, marking the northern edge of Scoresbysund and leading to the Northeast Greenland National Park, the world’s largest national park. Marvel at its vast valleys opening to the sea, deep waters, and shimmering ice. Take in the rugged beauty of Berzelius Bjerg, a striking mountain featuring colourful strata formed millions of years ago.

Day 9: Isafjordur
Flowers, fjords, and local traditions in northwest Iceland
Arrive at this bustling fishing town surrounded by deep fjords. Embark on the 3-hour included "Flowers & Fjords" tour through a mountain tunnel to visit Skrúður, Iceland’s first botanical garden founded in 1905, followed by a musical performance at Flateyri village church and local refreshments. Optional excursions include a 2.5-hour whale watching tour in Ísafjarðardjúp, a thrilling 2-hour ATV mountain trail adventure, or a 3.5-hour visit to Bær sheep farm in Stadardalur Valley concluding with a beer at Dokkan Brewery.

Day 9: Vigur Island
Seabird sanctuary and historical eiderdown harvesting
Take the ship's zodiacs for a 1.5-hour included visit to this thriving seabird sanctuary. Witness arctic terns, puffins, and eider ducks nesting on rocky cliffs. Learn about the family farm continuing the centuries-old eiderdown harvest across 3,500 nests, view historical relics like Iceland's sole windmill or a 200-year-old rowboat, and enjoy coffee and cake in a mid-19th century cow shed.

Day 10: Dynjandi Waterfall
Scenic walk to the iconic bridal-veil cascades
Go ashore by Zodiac with your Swan Hellenic Expedition Team for a 1.5-hour included scenic walk to Dynjandi, one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls. Located in the remote Westfjords, marvel at its dramatic bridal-veil shape as cascading sheets of water tumble down a series of widening terraces. Follow the well-marked 15-minute path passing five smaller waterfalls along the way.

Day 11: Reykjavik
Concluding the polar voyage in the capital
Return to Reykjavík where your exceptional cruise concludes.
