This expedition is a deep immersion into the "Heart of the Arctic," beginning with a crossing of the Arctic Circle in Greenland’s majestic Kangerlussuaq Fjord. Over two weeks, the Ocean Nova sails through landscapes of breathtaking scale, such as the "Fjord of Eternity" and Nuuk, the world’s northernmost capital. Crossing the Davis Strait into Canadian waters, the ship becomes a hub for cultural exchange where Inuit educators share traditions, games, and perspectives on Northern life.
The journey stands out for its unique encounters with wildlife and art. At Akpatok Island, explorers will witness Canada's largest colony of murres while scouting for polar bears and walruses in Ungava Bay. The visit to Kinngait (Cape Dorset) offers privileged access to the studios where the Inuit art market was born, meeting the printmakers and carvers who have brought global fame to the region. From hiking the Nunavik tundra to the modern vitality of Iqaluit, every day is an opportunity to connect with the land and its people in an authentic and lasting way.
