The human exploration of Scoresby Sound is but a brushstroke upon a tremendous and exuberant canvas on one of the oldest places in the world. We propose to seek out its secrets of Greenland, and reveal them, with you and to you. It is said that there are two phases in life: life before Greenland and life after Greenland. Greenland is the portal through which one passes and cannot pass back through: whatever you think Greenland is, it’s more, its bigger, and grander. This expedition will lay bare the secrets of Greenland in an unparralled setting. With the expeditionary tradition of the past and the trappings of the future, an array of dramatic nature and Arctic wildlife awaits a small group of twelve amazing people, guided by an experienced crew, a storyteller, and expert expedition leaders.

Day to day life on board is exciting yet easy-going. Guests gather in the bright and comfortable main saloon, where plenty of windows provide a panoramic view to watch the waves roll by while discussing the upcoming route over a hearty breakfast or sharing life experiences over warm tea. The vessel features a well-stocked library of polar literature and a well-sized onboard sauna, serving as the perfect refuge after a polar-plunge. The sailing route follows the wind, ice, and weather conditions given by nature, ensuring the best use of time to glide past towering palaces of icebergs, land on red sandstone shores, and hike remote archipelagos. Binoculars are always kept close to hand to scout for regional polar wildlife throughout this vast, untouched eastern fjord system.

Highlights:
Get a taste of the golden age of exploration on a traditionally rigged, wooden sailing vessel.
Explore the remote coast of Northeast Greenland and visit the world's largest fjord system.
Land on the unique red sandstone shore of Red Island and hike the scenic Arctic Riviera.
Sail through the awesome Øfjord with staggering mountain peaks and 2000-meter granite walls.
Benefit from professional photography tuition in-the-field and field editing sessions in the saloon.

Day 4: Arctic Wildlife Search
Scouting for regional muskoxen and snow hares
Spend the day searching the terrain for regional Arctic wildlife. We will look for muskoxen, snow hares, and grouse. If we are lucky, we will attempt to spot the elusive Gyrfalcon, which are well known to live and nest in this remote polar region.

Day 5: Sailing Through Øfjord
Staggering granite walls rising 2000 meters from the sea
Sailing continues on day 5 through the awesome Øfjord. This section displays staggering mountain peaks and massive granite walls that rise close to 2000 meters up in either direction, straight out from the open sea.

Day 8: Disembarkation and Flight to Reykjavik
Final charter flight back to Iceland
We disembark S/V Linden for the last time to catch our return flight back to Reykjavik Domestic Airport. The adventures of the polar expedition begin to sink in and your life after Greenland begins. We say goodbye to each other, not forever, just until the next time we sail!
