As steel wheels roll along nearly 500 miles of track, the railroad offers reliable, regularly scheduled service connecting Alaska cities, towns and protected lands – from the larger hubs of Anchorage and Fairbanks, to the charming villages of Talkeetna and Seward, to the treasured wildlands of the Chugach National Forest and Denali National Park.

The Alaska Railroad travels along approximately 500 miles of track with three daily summer trains: the Coastal Classic to Seward, the
Denali Star to Anchorage, Talkeetna, Denali and Fairbanks, and the Glacier Discovery to Whittier, Portage, Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop and Grandview. The Hurricane Turn Flagstop Train runs Thursday through Monday out of Talkeetna during the summer, serving remote homes only accessible by rail.
