Included

Embark on an exclusive 12-day expedition through the Svalbard archipelago aboard an intimate vessel carrying only 12 guests. The adventure begins in Longyearbyen before setting sail into the majesty of Isfjorden and exploring the western coast of Spitsbergen. A primary aim of this itinerary is to spend a couple of extra days navigating the magnificent pack ice north of Spitsbergen, a constantly changing frozen wilderness. Throughout the voyage, guests will explore dramatic fjords such as Liefdefjorden, Krossfjorden, and Raudfjorden, framed by monumental glaciers including Monaco Glacier and 14th of July Glacier.

This expedition perfectly balances polar exploration history with close-up Arctic wildlife encounters. Visits include the scientific village of Ny-Ålesund, historic expedition sites on Danskøya, and the remote northern outpost of Sjuøyane. Through daily Zodiac excursions and guided walks across the blooming tundra, guests will scan for iconic Arctic wildlife, including polar bears, Arctic foxes, walruses, seals, ivory gulls, and towering basalt cliffs home to an estimated 200,000 Brünnich’s guillemots at Alkefjellet.

Highlights:
Dedicated two-day exploration of the vast, ever-changing pack ice north of Spitsbergen.
Zodiac cruising along the sculpted faces of monumental ice formations like Monaco Glacier.
Visit to the scientific hub of Ny-Ålesund and historic remnants of North Pole expeditions.
Wildlife watching at Alkefjellet basalt cliffs and opportunities to spot polar bears, walruses, and seals.
Intimate luxury expedition experience with accommodation for only 12 passengers.

NOTE: Embracing the unexpected is part of the legacy—and excitement—of expedition travel. When traveling in extremely remote regions, your expedition staff must allow the sea, the ice and the weather to guide route and itinerary details. This itinerary is a tentative outline of what you’ll experience on this voyage; please be aware that no specific itinerary can be guaranteed.
