This 14-day expedition, titled "North Atlantic Wonders," journeys from the historic capital of Scotland, Edinburgh, across the remote Faroe Islands, to the volcanic wonders of Iceland. The adventure starts with a pre-cruise hotel night to enjoy Edinburgh's medieval and 18th-century architecture. Key Scottish highlights include the exploration of the Isle of May, a national nature reserve, and Bass Rock, home to the world’s largest colony of northern gannets—a phenomenal natural spectacle. The cruise then visits the Orkney Islands' Neolithic heart, including the Ring of Brodgar and Skara Brae, and Fair Isle, a renowned paradise for birdwatchers.
The voyage continues to the Faroe Islands, characterized by green hills, turf-roofed houses, and rich Viking heritage in Tórshavn and Funningur, offering a deep immersion into local customs. The Icelandic portion explores the rugged eastern coast, including the colorful 19th-century houses of Seyðisfjörður and a relaxing soak in the geothermal pools of Lake Urriðavatn. The expedition concludes after exploring the volcanic Vestmannaeyjar Archipelago and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula (Iceland in Miniature), renowned for its dramatic cliffs, glaciers, and Kirkjufell Mountain. An included photography program ensures guests capture these diverse and spectacular landscapes.
