This voyage delivers a genuine and continuous exploration across the North Atlantic, venturing deep into the wild reaches of East Greenland. Sailing through Scoresby Sound, globally recognized as the largest fjord network on Earth, passengers will contemplate an awe-inspiring scenery of calving glaciers and monumental icebergs. The expedition includes an open town visit to Ittoqqortoormiit, one of the most isolated permanent communities in the High Arctic, providing meaningful insight into everyday Inuit traditional life. Time is also devoted to exploring the Northeast Greenland National Park, a pristine wilderness area where narrow channels and tundra terrain shelter high-latitude wildlife.

Weather permitting, the vessel will attempt to reach the seldom-visited volcanic island of Jan Mayen, dominated by the glacier-capped Beerenberg volcano, before charting a course toward Iceland's dramatic Westfjords to witness the cascading tiers of Dynjandi waterfall. As late September brings longer and darker nights, this high-latitude sailing introduces one of the season's best opportunities to spot the spectacular Northern Lights under suitable conditions. Guided by an expert team, this itinerary masterfully interweaves remote expedition landings in undisturbed environments with insightful educational briefings on board.

Day 1: Reykjavik, Iceland (Embarkation)
Commencement of the polar expedition
Your journey begins in Reykjavik, Iceland’s vibrant capital. After arriving at the port, you will board your vessel and settle into your cabin. In the early evening, the ship departs Reykjavik Bay and heads north into the North Atlantic, transitioning from the familiar into the open ocean.

Day 2: Crossing the Denmark Strait (At Sea)
Sailing and introductory polar presentations
Spend a full day at sea crossing the Denmark Strait toward East Greenland. Onboard, the expedition team offers briefings and presentations introducing the geography, ice conditions, wildlife, and exploration history of the region. Watch for seabirds and whales from the open decks.

Day 3-6: Explore East Greenland
Immense fjord networks, tundra, and isolated communities
Days dedicated to flexible exploration guided entirely by environmental conditions and ice movements. We aim to navigate Scoresby Sound to cruise by Zodiac among drifting icebergs while searching for polar bears and seals. Visit the remote permanent settlement of Ittoqqortoormiit to learn about local handicrafts at the museum and join a traditional social "Kaffemik". Exploration continues into Northeast Greenland National Park, navigating through the narrow channels of Kejser Franz Josephs Fjord and Kong Oscar Fjord to step ashore for guided tundra walks to spot musk oxen and Arctic foxes.

Day 7: Crossing the Greenland Sea (At Sea)
Ocean crossing and wildlife watching
Spend a full day crossing the Greenland Sea. Take time to look for migrating whales and seabirds from the open observation decks, or attend presentations led by the expedition team covering Arctic history, wildlife, glaciology, and polar exploration.

Day 8: Explore Jan Mayen
Volcanic landscapes under the Beerenberg cone
Reach Jan Mayen, one of the most remote and tightly controlled islands in the Arctic, administered by Norway for scientific monitoring. Subject to final official approval and local weather conditions, join a rare high-latitude Zodiac landing to explore its dark basalt shores and volcanic landscapes.

Day 9: Crossing the Greenland Sea (At Sea)
Southbound navigation to Icelandic waters
The ship continues south toward Icelandic waters. This final full sea day offers a slower pace, providing time to review the journey, participate in onboard discussions, and remain alert for wildlife sightings during this natural transition back toward Iceland.

Day 10: Dynjandi, Iceland
Iconic multi-tiered Westfjords waterfall
Arrive at Iceland’s remote Westfjords. If conditions allow, step ashore at the head of the fjord to walk toward the monumental multi-tiered Dynjandi waterfall cascading down the mountainside, experiencing one of Iceland’s most iconic natural landmarks as the expedition draws to a close.

Day 11: Reykjavik, Iceland (Disembarkation)
Conclusion of the Arctic journey
Early in the morning, the ship returns to Reykjavik. Disembarkation procedures take place following a final breakfast on board, bringing your extraordinary Arctic expedition to a close as you continue your onward journey.
