This 22-day adventure invites travelers to explore the world's most remote reaches, following the trail of legendary explorers like Ernest Shackleton. The journey begins in Montevideo before sailing south to discover the biodiversity of the Falkland Islands and the dramatic landscapes of South Georgia. Here, encounters with massive king penguin colonies and the remains of old whaling stations offer a unique perspective on human struggle and the majesty of nature in the South Atlantic.

As the expedition moves into Antarctic waters, the landscape transforms into a labyrinth of towering icebergs and colossal glaciers. Aboard Zodiac boats, passengers can get close to whales, seals, and various penguin species, while learning about polar ecology and history through daily lectures by expert naturalists. This voyage is not just a sightseeing trip, but a deep immersion into one of the purest and most challenging ecosystems on the planet.

Day 1: Montevideo
Uruguay
Arrive in Montevideo at any time and take your included arrival transfer. Enjoy free time to explore the city's sights and sounds before the start of your expedition.

Day 2: Embarkation
South Atlantic Ocean
Free morning to explore Montevideo's colorful neighborhoods. In the early afternoon, join the group transfer to the pier to embark and begin your journey sailing southwards.

Days 3-5: South Atlantic Ocean
Sailing South
Spend time on deck spotting wildlife, including albatross and whales. Educational lectures begin to provide insight and appreciation for the polar regions as we head toward the Falklands.

Days 6-7: Falkland Islands
Biodiversity & Stanley
Witness the biological diversity and extraordinary scenery. Meet locals in Stanley and observe abundant penguin colonies, including Magellanic, Rockhopper, and Gentoo species.

Days 8-9: Southern Ocean
Towards South Georgia
The lecture series resumes to prepare for the arrival at South Georgia. Spend time on deck identifying the abundant seabirds following the ship across the Southern Ocean.

Days 10-13: South Georgia Marvels
Scotia Sea Spend 4 days exploring South Georgia Island, home to Shackleton’s grave and massive king penguin colonies. Observe southern elephant seals and nesting wandering albatrosses.

Days 14-15: South Shetland Islands
Scotia Sea Crossing
Sail across the Scotia Sea toward Elephant Island. These nutrient-rich waters support a complex food chain topped by whales, seals, and numerous seabirds.

Days 16-19: Antarctic Peninsula
South Shetland Islands Exploration
Daily Zodiac landings to encounter the awe-inspiring wilderness of Antarctica. Get close to icebergs and glaciers while looking for Adélie, Gentoo, and Chinstrap penguins.

Days 20-21: Drake Passage
Returning North
Cross the 400-mile passage named after Sir Francis Drake. Cross the Antarctic Convergence and enjoy final sightings of albatrosses and petrels accompanying the ship.

Day 22: Ushuaia
Argentina
The adventure comes to a close in Ushuaia. Have a final breakfast on board before disembarking in the mor
