Included

This voyage is the ultimate Southern Ocean expedition, spanning three distinct regions linked by history and astonishing biodiversity. Beginning in the Strait of Magellan, the adventure first heads to the Falkland Islands, where the white sands of Saunders Island set the stage for black-browed albatross colonies and rockhopper penguins. Here, contact with local culture and a visit to Port Stanley provide a historical prelude before venturing into wild South Georgia.

South Georgia is the wildlife heart of the South Atlantic; at locations like Salisbury Plain and St. Andrews Bay, travelers witness concentrations of hundreds of thousands of king penguins and massive elephant seals. The trip pays tribute to the heroic age of polar exploration in Grytviken, visiting Sir Ernest Shackleton's grave. Finally, the bow turns to Antarctica, sailing among the colossal icebergs of the Antarctic Sound and the protected waters of the Gerlache Strait, culminating in a transformative experience among glaciers, whales, and snow-capped peaks before disembarking in Ushuaia.

Highlights:
Observation of the world’s largest king penguin colonies in South Georgia.
Encounter with albatrosses, rockhopper penguins, and local culture in the Falkland Islands.
Navigation along the Antarctic Peninsula, Gerlache Strait, and the spectacular Lemaire Channel.
Visits to historic polar exploration sites such as Grytviken and Elephant Island.
Daily Zodiac excursions and guided hikes led by expert polar naturalists.
Exclusive access to Explorers House in Punta Arenas prior to embarkation.
