This is our most extensive, richly varied, and epic journey, designed to dive deep into the remotest corners of the Southern Ocean. The voyage begins by exploring the rich history and astounding biodiversity of the Falkland Islands, before heading to South Georgia, often referred to as the "Serengeti of the Southern Ocean." Here, passengers will witness breathtaking nature scenes, with beaches covered in elephant seals, fur seals, and hundreds of thousands of king penguins, all framed by majestic glaciers and rugged mountains plunging into the sea.

The expedition reaches its climax with a New Year's Eve celebration on the Antarctic Peninsula, surrounded by glorious icebergs and unique wildlife. The final act of this adventure is the ambitious attempt to reach latitude 66°33’S and cross the Antarctic Circle, a milestone that few travelers ever achieve. Between landings at scientific bases, Zodiac cruises through icy channels, and talks with polar experts, this journey offers a total immersion in the last truly wild place on Earth.

Highlights:
Exclusive New Year's Eve celebration in the pristine landscapes of Antarctica.
Exploration of South Georgia and its massive colonies of hundreds of thousands of penguins.
Attempted crossing of the Antarctic Circle reaching latitude 66°33’S.
Observation of the world’s largest black-browed albatross colony in the Falklands.
Navigation through the famous Lemaire Channel surrounded by dazzlingly shaped icebergs.

NOTE: Embracing the unexpected is part of the legacy—and excitement—of expedition travel. When traveling in extremely remote regions, your expedition staff must allow the sea, the ice and the weather to guide route and itinerary details.
