The journey begins in Punta Arenas with a private flight that places you directly in the heart of the White Continent, bypassing the initial unpredictable waters. Aboard the Ocean Nova, you will explore picturesque channels surrounded by glaciers and sculpted icebergs, where the silence and scale of the landscape will take your breath away. Guided by experts, you will immerse yourself in a world where wild nature dictates the pace of each day.

Throughout the voyage, you will have close encounters with penguin colonies, whales, and seals in their natural habitat, using Zodiacs, kayaks, or snowshoes for immersive exploration. You can participate in citizen science programs to document this fragile ecosystem and visit historic sites that tell the bold story of polar exploration. The journey culminates with a sailing crossing of the legendary Drake Passage, allowing you to add this milestone to your logbook before disembarking in Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, completing an unmatched Antarctic experience.

Day 1: Welcome to Patagonia!
Preparations in Punta Arenas
Arrive in Punta Arenas, Chile’s gateway to Antarctica. After check-in, meet the Expedition Team for parka and boot fitting, gear biosecurity, and briefings on responsible exploration. The day ends with a welcome dinner featuring Patagonian delicacies.

Day 2: All Aboard for Antarctica!
Flying over the Drake
Transfer to the airport for a chartered flight across the Drake Passage to King George Island. Upon landing, the team will assist you aboard Ocean Nova. After safety drills, toast the start of the voyage as we sail south among the first icebergs.

Days 3–5: Immersive Antarctica
Ice, silence, and wildlife
Maneuver through majestic channels shared by icebergs and glaciers. Explore via Zodiac, kayak, or snowshoe, taking in the scale of the landscape. Participate in Citizen Science and visit penguin colonies and historic landing sites along the coast.

Day 6: South Shetland Islands
Volcanic geology and rookeries
Spend the final day in Antarctica exploring these islands created by volcanic activity. Expect a display of Chinstrap and Gentoo penguins, and look for elephant and fur seals on the shoreline, with whales often spotted offshore.

Days 7–8: Drake Passage
Crossing the Antarctic Convergence
Sail northward across the legendary Drake Passage. Join Polar Experts for lectures on history and ecology. Keep binoculars handy to identify seabirds as we cross the Antarctic Convergence and temperatures begin to rise.

Day 9: Ushuaia, Argentina – Disembarkation
Arrival at the end of the world
Morning arrival in Ushuaia, the southernmost city on Earth. After a final breakfast and farewell to the Expedition Team, disembark to begin your journey home or continue your adventures in Argentine Patagonia.
