This extraordinary combined expedition is a true oceanic voyage connecting some of the most isolated and inaccessible corners of the planet. Beginning in the city of Ushuaia, the journey first ventures into the frozen wilderness of the Antarctic Peninsula, where majestic glaciers, icebergs, and thriving penguin colonies provide a uniquely immersive polar experience. After exploring the peninsula and navigating waters rich in cetaceans, the voyage heads northeast toward the spectacular shores of South Georgia, famous for hosting millions of king penguins, elephant seals, and historic Antarctic sites such as Grytviken.

Following Atlantic seabird migration routes across the Southern Ocean, the itinerary pushes into subtropical latitudes to visit the world's most remote islands, including Gough Island and the isolated Tristan da Cunha archipelago. These oceanic sanctuaries are home to rare endemic species, yellow-nosed albatrosses, and rockhopper penguins. The expedition concludes at historic Saint Helena Island, where travelers can discover rich local heritage, volcanic landscapes, and climb the iconic Jacob's Ladder, completing an unparalleled maritime odyssey.

Day 1: End of the world, start of a journey
Beginning of the voyage in Ushuaia
Your voyage begins in Ushuaia, Argentina, the southernmost city on the planet. Embarkation takes place in the afternoon in Tierra del Fuego, sailing the mountain-fringed Beagle Channel for the remainder of the evening.

Day 2-3: Path of the polar explorers
Crossing the Drake Passage
Enjoy two days sailing across the Drake Passage experiencing sea breezes, pelagic birds, and marine life. Crossing the Antarctic Convergence brings us into nutrient-rich upwelling zones ideal for spotting whales and albatrosses.

Day 4-7: Entering Antarctica
Antarctic Peninsula and ice activities
Navigate through the Melchior Islands and Schollaert Channel. Visits may include Danco Island, Neko Harbour, Paradise Bay, Petermann Island, and Port Lockroy, featuring Zodiac cruising among icebergs, penguin colony visits, and snowshoeing.

Day 8-9: Familiar seas, familiar friends
Return crossing of the Drake Passage
Set course northward across the Drake Passage. Accompanied by seabirds and whales, enjoy time on deck and attend final lectures by the expedition team.

Day 10: There and back again
Completion of the first leg
Morning arrival in Ushuaia to disembark, completing the initial Antarctic segment of the expedition.

Start of the Atlantic leg in Ushuaia
Embark in the afternoon from Ushuaia to begin the Atlantic Odyssey leg, sailing through the scenic Beagle Channel toward open ocean waters.

Day 11-13: Sea route to South Georgia
Sailing across the Antarctic Convergence
En route to South Georgia, cross the Antarctic Convergence where cold polar waters meet warmer seas, bringing a dramatic increase in albatrosses, petrels, and Cape pigeons around the ship.

Day 14-16: South Georgia sights
Massive king penguin colonies
Visit world-famous king penguin rookeries at Salisbury Plain, St. Andrews Bay, and Gold Harbour, teeming with seals. Explore the historic whaling station at Grytviken, Shackleton’s grave, and enjoy Zodiac cruises in Cooper Bay.

Day 17-21: Once more to the sea
Sailing the southern ocean westerlies
Sailing with prevailing tailwinds across the South Atlantic. These sea days offer exceptional pelagic birdwatching opportunities along the Antarctic Convergence.

Day 22: The quest continues at the great Gough Island
Zodiac cruising in Quest Bay
Approach remote Gough Island for a Zodiac cruise in Quest Bay, weather permitting, to observe northern rockhopper penguins, sub-Antarctic fur seals, and dramatic coastal scenery.

Day 23-26: Tristan da Cunha and all the pretty birds
Exploring the remote island group
Attempt landings at the main settlement on Tristan da Cunha, Seal Bay, or Sandy Point. Cruise and land at Nightingale and Inaccessible Islands to view yellow-nosed albatrosses and diverse seabird species.

Day 27-30: Subtropical seas and seabirds
Sailing northward through warmer waters
Sailing through subtropical waters accompanied by indigenous seabirds and marine life as the ship continues its journey north.

Day 31-33: St. Highlights of Saint Helena
Arrival in Jamestown and final disembarkation
Land at Jamestown on Saint Helena Island. Explore local culture, visit Longwood House, climb Jacob's Ladder, or snorkel in shallow waters before disembarking or continuing onward.

Excess baggage charges and all items of a personal nature such as laundry, bar, beverage charges and telecommunication charges.
The customary gratuity at the end of the voyages for stewards and other service personnel aboard (guidelines will be provided).
