Embark on an action-packed 6-day air-cruise expedition designed to deliver an intimate and efficient Antarctic experience. The journey begins in Punta Arenas with check-in at Explorers House before boarding a flight to Puerto Williams, the southernmost town in the world. Embarking on a boutique expedition vessel, guests set sail through the scenic Beagle Channel along the shores of Tierra del Fuego and Navarino Island, heading south toward the open waters of the Drake Passage. During the ocean crossing, passengers participate in engaging lectures led by expert polar guides while scanning the decks for seabirds and migrating whales.
Upon crossing the Antarctic Convergence and arriving at the South Shetland Islands, the surrounding environment transforms, revealing floating icebergs and snow-covered Antarctic shores. Travelers board custom Zodiacs for shore visits to penguin colonies, observing seals, seabirds, and whales beneath the extended polar daylight. The expedition concludes at King George Island with a disembarkation at Fildes Bay to catch the return flight to Punta Arenas, providing a seamless balance of small-ship comfort, ocean navigation, and polar discovery.
